The Walking Dead, season 3 and Comicbook Men........ (1 Viewer)

This season is much stronger IMO. Loved the First and half of the second season. The Prison is about where I left of in the comics.\

Spoiler********************************************************************************************************

I kinda wished they had done the serial killer angle with the prisoners the comics did.

I enjoyed the season opener, would be great if the baby as mentioned was a zombie and ate her while still in the womb and then went after it's brother. ^&grin^&grin^&grin

I don't get the zombies on chains..what is to stop them rushing at Michonne and why don't they?

My take on this is they cant bite and they cant claw her and their scent will her from other Walkers

I reading a very good zombie book called "Handling the Undead" by John Ajvide Lindqvist. He is the same guy who wrote "Let the Right One In" which was made into a good vampire flick. Most of these horror books are poorly written trash but this is a good one. If you like Stephen King it's along those lines.

Thankfully she was wearing them !!

What would have been great is big polka dot boxer shorts! Very few chuckles in this show and little personal hygiene.

It might be cool to have Civil War reenactor "Walkers" show up!

Liked the episode last night, with the re-appearence of Darryl's brother. Going to be interesting to see where this branch of the story, with the village, heads. The village leader is quite the murderous scum. He has a rather unusual hobby.:rolleyes2: -- Al

Nobody would have a chance in their world has the humans kill each other as much as the zombies kill them.

Agreed; the humans are doing a better job of wiping each other out than the zombies are and as Al said, that is one messed up "hobby" the governor has.

Again, you'd think strength in numbers would be the end game as it's not like the plague is ending anytime soon, why wipe out all those guardsmen who are trained with weapons.

I guess each group wants to keep to themselves with no outsiders allowed in.

For once I hope the series does not mirror the book as the governor is not a nice piece of work in the book...Michael

Oh yeah, the "Governor" is going to be interesting. Plus it's David Morrissey who I have a "man crush" on since he played Colonel Brandon in one of those Jane Austen movies my daughter tries to get me to watch. If a man had written "Sense and Sensibility", Brandon would have straightened everyone out in the first chapter and the rest of the story would be his adventures in India!

Tonights episode was incredible, I'm speechless at this point.

If this isn't one of the best series in the history of television, I don't know what is...................what a double shocker tonight was.

Agree. It was quite a surprise. Job security is a problem with this series.:wink2: -- Al

Last night on the aftershow, one of the producers was saying in her mind, the show can go on for years, there is so much more material yet to cover.

Not sure how that is possible at the rate the cast members are being bumped off unless they continually add new characters to the mix............

Absolutely. I was a big fan of "Lost" but the WD beats it by a mile, IMO.

Great its on a cable channel so they can show more gore and use the occassional cuss word (adds to realism).

I do hope they leave some of the original cast around, but the fact that everyone is potentially a casualty definitely keeps things tense.

The key to this series or any series with a long run it to keep introducing new characters that the viewers care about; Merle and the Governor don't qualify, can't wait for both of them to get bumped off (man crushes aside Scott).

The Governor, or Phillip, has a certain Jim Jones quality about him, his use of golf balls last night was interesting.

Neither of them and neither of the prisoners who are now going to be rolled into the group are worth rooting for or getting involved with to the point of being let down when they go.

I have a funny feeling Rick is going for some payback in the next episode, call me crazy...........

I do find that the best thing about this series is the weekly guessing game as to who will make it to the next episode. The ability to kill off any cast member, at any time, sure is an advantage in keeping the interest level up amongst viewers. Makes it a little hard to become emotionally invested in any one though. I would like to see Daryl and his brother reunited somewhere along the line. That should be a good episode. -- Al

Apocalypse notwithstanding, the Governor has a nice golf swing. The actor must actually play the game in life.

I kind of like Merle in his current incarnation. Dude has wry sense of humor and seems a bit less of an a$$4018.

I like the idea, but payback on whom? Andrew is dead, and the former prisoners were actually a help. Zombie killing fest?

My guess is Carl didn't shoot his mother, and she's a walker in a future episode. Maybe she will eat the baby.
