I hate to say this but I am upset the face sculpts were not even touched a bit. The cigarette in Roosevelt's hand is bigger then the cigar in Winston's. :(

What is your vote Yalta or Yucka..or I am getting one or I am not.

This is strictly a thread on the sculpts and paint not on the men themselves.

No way! Sculpts are worse ever! Looks like our beloved President is smoking a cheech and chong joint. Keith

On painting as you mentioned it its not that bad. I agree about the fact the cigar in the hand looks like its just been repainted and nothing more. The president does look a bit poorly done as I mentioned in the original thread when this was raised. Stalin and Churchill are ok with Stalin looking the more realistic of the three.

Its an iconic moment in the history of WWII and could have been done a lot better.

From the picture posted, Roosevelt looks like Fred Astair!

Looking forward to getting this, it will be center of my personalities and commanders collection:smile2:

Picked this up yesterday. It's almost worth it just for the Stalin figure. Churchill is OK. Mr Roosevelt is disappointing. Still couldn't miss it though.

Seems most here will choose the Stalin figure as their favorite out of the 3 . One small point to add about the size of Roosevelts cigarette. If it were done to scale ....diameter wise how many would get broken off as being too fragile. Breakage was most likely the intent in the design of that part of the figure.

Don't do WW2 anymore, so not for me. Now, if it was King George V, Czar Nicolas, and Clemenceau... -- Al

tricky one
will go take a look at the set before deciding
possibly not....

If that is really the case, why not just eliminate the cigarette if it's too fragile to produce and ship? Think about it, a cigarette could be easily removed and no one would notice or even care.

It would seem illogical, silly and unlikely to me that K&C would produce something out of scale like a cigarette just because of a breakage issue. At lest I would hope that would be the case. :D

No, it sounds like it's just a bad design

Yes, yes and yes, first rate idea and just to be Aussie I would include Billy Hughes too.

agree

there are other KC sets or figures with cigarettes which are to scale. so i wouldnt think the cigarette was done out of scale in this set on purpose to account for potential breakage issue.

REALLY .......................it was a cigar and instead of redoing it they just painted it!!!!!!!! If concerned about being too fragile make it metal as in a piece of steel. I do not post often but had to comment about this stop defending K&C......Breakage was the reason REALLY.......I don't think so

I completely agree. I would have just got rid of it all together if I was not going to take the cigar away and replace it with a cigarette in a holder as FDR used.
