"The Zulu War" (2 Viewers)

That mat goes extremely well with the background photo my Aide de Camp and once again another great photo featuring my favorite glossy figures........The Lt.

A couple rear garrisoned members of the 24th Regiment assist a Royal Artillery detachment on the long road to Ulundi. The original field carriages for their 9pdr RML guns were unsuited to the track in Zululand. The 24th has helped their comrades switch to a Kaffrarian carriage, a local design that will allow the guns to be carried swiftly to the front!
Fleurbaix bought Mountford guns painted up in...GLOSSY.

Mike, are these the ones you mentioned before? They turned out fine in the end then :)

Great pictures Mike.

I bought a mat from John Gittins at the London Show, must get around to using it once the Heatwave finishes over here and I can get out of the pool:D

Cheers

Martyn:)

Martyn,
Might be a good time for some Naval Brigade Pictures! Just don't get those figures wet. Keep 'em in the launches!

Mike,
Thanks, but I prefer the tit for tat as thanks, you post yours I'll post mine. In other words, I'm thanking you by posting mine!

The sappers of the the Royal Engineers always get the muck details. Making roads, setting ponts and fording rivers, finding water supplies. These fellas are trying to cut hrough the dry crust of the escarpment north of Wood's camp at Hlobane. All dreaming of honeys and Ole' England!

The interesting part is I made this out of firestopping cement they we are experimenting with at work (A caulk for fire proofing new construction). I plopped the cement down on a board, and after it dried, I sprayed it with a cardboard spray used for covering box labels to reuse the box. Presto! From a quick mix to find if it would suit our needs to a diorama base in two minutes.

Nice way of featuring your sappers of the Royal Engineers my Aide de Camp and it never ceases to amaze me with the selection of figures in your collection......The Lt.

Thanks MEN OF HARLECH.!
Like I said, just a little something to see if my work experiment would work for a terrain base...I have to beef up the rear so it blends better. Maybe more appropriate for Sudan terrain.

VERY Nice indeed! I need most of those gentlemen also! Love the kraal and huts and figures and terrain and backdrop and lighting and the time it took to put together to show us.

Outstanding Martyn. It is very nice to be able to see other pictures of the JGM Zulu Village besides the ones offered in the on-line catalog.
