70% of the Palestinians cheered October 7th and did horrorfic things to the Israelis themselves and when 9/11 happened they were in the streets cheering. I have no sympathy for them.Hamas are masters of propaganda, though they often give their lies away by accident, such as showing the malnourished child to elicit sympathy, and then zooming out and showing the chubby mother and also using real footage of famine, but taken in the Yemen, but claiming it to be gaza.
One of the other tricks played on you the viewer, who they are trying to gain support from, is that these children, and you notice it is always children, you don't see adults in these reports showing such advanced signs of malnourishment, is that because of the allowing of first cousin marriages, genetic problems like this do occur more frequently than outside muslim communities.
Very valid point. Thanks for the reminder. Too many people like to forget these things and then wonder why it then goes off the rails. As I said. Parking lot.70% of the Palestinians cheered October 7th and did horrorfic things to the Israelis themselves and when 9/11 happened they were in the streets cheering. I have no sympathy for them.

Gary:I think this shooting deserved the news coverage it got. It happened in midtown Manhattan, 4 people shot. A police officer was one. All totally innocent victims. It isn't the same as when 4 people in the hood get shot because someone "called them out of their name." For you folks that was a term I heard hundreds of times in North St louis meaning there was some verbal dispute between the parties. Speaking of North St Louis I don't know why the local news even reports a shooting that happened there. There is 1, 2 or 3 a day. It is bigger news if my mail is delivered late. But the phrase that drives me crazy is "they are food insecure" There is not one child in the USA that is laying there with a bloated stomach and flies landing on their face.
Just for friendly debate. Don't know about your area but these food givaways you see on the news where they pull up in a brand new car and get a box full of food. Don't look like they are "food insecure". Or mama with her foot long eye lashes and nails is complaining about lack of food. Get the picture. I'll grant you some kids are not getting the best foods but to say there is "hunger" in the USA, can't and won't buy it. Now I will grant you if the parent, and I would guess these are mostly one parent homes, are junkies or some other form off addiction the kids will suffer. But the only fix for that is for family services to take the kids away from that parent which is not easy to do. And eventually the parent would get them back and the whole process would start again. You know who I truly feel sorry for are the people in wheelchairs, walking with a white cane or some clear physical disability. For them give them 100% what they need. The others who I would guess caused there own demise, ----'em. Jason before I close out I am not arguing that there is not poverty in the USA. But there are all sorts of programs to help those people whether government or social.Gary:
I respect your posts as well as your career as a a police officer.
However, children don’t need flies in their face or a bloated belly to know hunger aka “food insecurity”.
They rely on adults to provide their needs. They did not ask to be here.
And lest you think that hunger is an inner city problem relegated to minorities, you need to look into the below poverty levels found in the white/caucasian dominated Appalachians.

Hey, that's my joke! "May make your arms fall off"Commercials for prescription medication.
The side effect rundowns are ridiculous.
I won’t be surprised if I hear one that says your head might fall off.
The disclaimers are ridiculous. No doubt required by the government or some lawyer. It's like going to the doctor and they ask you to sign your name five times on some electronic pad. They just tell you what you are signing but no one ever bothers to read the underlying documents which would take half a day. The intent apparently is to inform you of certain privacy rights but the result is that no one reads the documents rendering the whole thing pointless. Similar to all those documents you have to sign when buying a house. Most are required by some law but there are so many that no one could read them even if they wanted to do that.Commercials for prescription medication.

How about the one for diabetes where all these fat people are dancing around singing about this particular drug. I would say loose some weight you might not need it! There is this one shaved headed actor that must have every disease known to man. I have seen him in about 3 or 4 different commercials for different drugs and different ailments. Don't know about your area but hear seems like every other commercial on TV is about a law firm looking for accident victims and stating all the money they got for other cases. Like if you are injured in an auto accident you just won the lottery. In reality these people that get these huge sums are probably in a wheelchair or worse for the rest of their lives. Also unless these law firms are about 95 % sure that they can win your case they won't take you. One last gripe. On the local news and now on the national news. The U.S. could be under nuclear attack but the weather would be the first story. The disclaimers are ridiculous. No doubt required by the government or some lawyer. I can so relate to this.....black humour was the only thing sometimes that helped get you through a crappy shift dealing with death and mayhem, not to mention the bizarre and complete nutters.Any one interested in a couple of I what thought were the best lines I heard while on the job. Me and my partner received a call for "a shooting". Upon our arrival there was a black male lying on the sidewalk obviously dead from a shotgun wound. This location was right across the street from the Pruitt-Igoe Housing projects ( look them up one of the worst ever ). So now we call for a supervisor, homicide detectives ambulance etc. While we were waiting a large crowd gathered around when suddenly a male came running across the street and pushing his way through the crowd saying "That's my brother, that's my brother we come out the same p---y" That was my all time favorite. The second one me and my partner received a call at a downtown department store for a holding for a larceny. The security people had caught this black guy stealing. So our job was to take him to the station, write the report and book him. Since we were on a foot beat we called for a car to take us to the station. As we were waiting the suspect said "Office ( not officer as that is what the blacks called us) can you give me a break as I was in the army and in Vietnam. I asked where in Vietnam where you? He replied "Germany". Some things stick with you forever.
If you want to see something that will blow your hair back about how stupid the average college student in the US is, go on YouTube and bring up any of the Charlie Kirk "debates" that he has on college campuses with these halfwits, they for the most part have less than zero clue about anything, it's staggering. Is it just me or is the percentage of idiots stumbling about in public on the rise?
These folks aren't just thick, they actually struggle to string a sentence together that makes sense, but spent years at university/college.....
Many of these ads are on daytime TV for the folks who don't work. LA used to have some great ones including the used car dealers. Our local news always begins with what I like to call the daily shooting, then there is the fire that has burned down some house or apartment, weather, traffic accident, and sports. The weather girls used to be hotties for ratings but now not so much. I also love the filler story where they send the junior reporter out to some lame community event and they have to interview a local yocal trying to promote it. A lot of fake enthusiasm. How about the one for diabetes where all these fat people are dancing around singing about this particular drug. I would say loose some weight you might not need it!
