Things that annoy me (2 Viewers)

Speaking of press conferences why do police departments send out a spokesperson who sounds like he asked ChatGTP how to look smart when asked a simple question?

For example, a crime is committed and video shows someone running from the scene. A reporter asks what happened.

The officer answers and describes it by saying:

“The alleged perpetrator exited his moving device and proceeded to use his bottom leg equipment to flee the scene.”

You mean the guy who we think did it got out of his car and ran?
The St Louis police department, my former department, has as their spokesperson a civilian guy who is so light on his feet he barely touches the ground when he walks. I think maybe a 6'4" got his s--- together officer would be more appropriate.

Reporters that breathlessly cover "protests" making it sound like we are on the verge of civil war and then the camera pans out to show about ten people standing around with signs being vastly overnumbered by the media.

There was a news report about a protest against ICE in Boston attended by "hundreds".................when the camera panned back, it was more like 27 people with winter hats, glasses and masks on, none of whom wanted to be identified.

Can't say I blame them.

I've seen bigger crowds around hot dog vendor carts.

you put a good spin on that one...you should watch this video on WZB News Boston...you might have miscounted...didn't do a "find Elmo search"...and stopped counting at 28...I guess the one's wearing masks must have been in the back...maybe Kristi needs to send the ICE patrol to Boston to start cracking some heads...

The "protest" I was referring to was the next day after the woman was shot.

Nice try though Mike, good for you, being an internet watch dog and fact checking everyone.

You should fact check yourself with your incorrect claim that the woman who was shot was just dropping her son off at school and was in the wrong place at the wrong time, that is totally false.

Good to know that fudgeing loser from 'Medford (naturally;Medford, enough said if you know dick about Massachusetts, shocked he wasn't hugging a tree while being interviewed) is outraged on the administrations policy on immigration; I'm outraged that an illegal killed my nephews best friends cousin.

I am 100% in support of ICE and what they are doing, as stated, I am also 100% in support of all law enforcement, anyone who impedes their ability to do their jobs should be arrested and prosecuted, that includes politicians and other law enforcement who are not cooperating.

You clearly are not, fine, good for you Mike, you should take to the streets of Galveston and protest.

Maybe if one of their family members/friends are murdered by an illegal, they'd change their tune.

Personally, I think there is a better use of time, efforts, resources and funding rather than protesting a federal agency's job. Why not put that effort it to better immigration laws? Nah, probably too much common sense in my post. You see, there is big business in protesting in today's world. Agencies and protesters have turned it into a career and to what end? The men and women of Ice are there b/c they are following their legal mandate and trying to earn a living. As I said before, the only change comes from laws and why this has become such an incredulous and idiotic debate is beyond me. This Country is going off the rails and fast when people believe laws don't apply to them. Just insane and it plays out on the news everyday like clockwork. While the rest of us peons go about our business and try to make some contribution to society.

As I have said time and time again and this kind of stuff continues to prove me right - the average American has an IQ barely above a bony eared a$$fish. And if you need reinforcement of this thought, just watch your local news day in and day out.

I have nothing further to say to you on this subject, I'm done with this nonsense, if you engage me again, I won't take your cheese and get into a pissing contest with a skunk.
And the skunk says...

Ouch...harsh words...lol...you can always block me...I'm good with that...would really prefer it...

of course your story was the day before...27 masked people...right...not the the Boston News story...

I got you...make yourself another glass of Kool-Aid...

Why should I block you Mike?

I've known you for a long time and am always interested in what you have to say.

Really; I'm so very interested.

Just not on this subject any longer; I support ICE and their enforcement of our immigration laws, if you are here illegally, you don't belong here, period, end of story, no exceptions, you don't see it that way, nothing I say is going to make you change your mind, nothing you have to say is going to change mine so why continue to go on and on, back and forth, it's pointless.

Not sure what Kool Aid you are referring to; all they are doing is their job and I fully support them, which is a thankless one at that, not sure what the Kool Aid comment is all about.

Fact of the matter is for all those protestors, this has nothing to do with immigration and everything to do with Trump, the left hates him, always have and always will, nothing the guy does is going to fly with them, any other president enforcing our immigration laws, people would be fine with it, but because it's him, people are protesting and outraged. I'm not a huge fan of Trump, his tariffs have cost myself and my customers literally thousands of dollars, but on immigration policy vs the last administration, I am a fan.

Were these same people protesting and outraged when Charlie Kirk was murdered; I think not.

Selective outrage; must be nice.

So again, best of luck with your anti ICE stance, keep fighting the good fight.

Ok, I'm out, 9 hours of football, food and booze awaits me.

And no politics, thank Christ for that.

maybe you will get lucky and ICE will come clean up your neighborhood soon...

to quote you...
"Maybe if one of their family members/friends are murdered by an illegal, they'd change their tune"...that works both ways with armed ICE agents...

Sad that Mike M & George G, both good Forum friends of mine, seem to be angry at each other over this issue.
I hope that some common ground can be found. But then ICE has been a very divisive agency nation-wide.
I'm back to watching documentaries about Hittites, etc. because the News is a bummer.
Best Wishes to All, including Law Enforcement and Peaceful Protestors.

What make these people support illegals is beyond me. I know there are masterminds behind all this but can't these people think for themselves. Oh yeah if they can march all day means they probably don't work, if they did they would be very angry at all the billions of taxpayer money lost by fraud and paying for illegals care.

Mike

Armed ICE agents are Federally trained Law Enforcement Officers. Go research them. Most are former officers or military. Yes they are armed as are ALL Federal enforcement agents - btw the IRS field agents are also armed and they should be.

The insinuation that all federal agents are murderers is quite frankly insulting, you know that is not true as does anyone with common sense.

ICE has been to Maryland and they have deported a lot of illegal people and are continuing to do so and I am applauding it. Crime has gone down in the last 6 months. What is not to be happy about the clean up. For example, our cars are a lot safer since an MS 13 car theft operation was taken down (probably missed it on the national news, they didn't report it). I also hope that people here who like to jog on our trails are safer since the illegal immigrant murderer from MS 13 who raped and murdered Rachel Morin was convicted to Life Without Parole, unfortunately, I would have been happier had he been deported to Honduras where they would have hung him. Frankly, the fact that he got a trial that taxpayers paid for was a gift.

I am sorry but I don't find ICE scary in the least. If local law enforcement was allowed to cooperate and enforce the law too, it would be much easier.

Remember when we were told that "no one is above the law." But I guess they didn't mean that. What they apparently meant to say is that no American citizen is above the law. If you are here illegally in violation of the federal immigration laws, then the law cannot be enforced because they don't like it. And you are right about these protestors. They are nowhere to be seen when hundreds of American citizens - mostly poor minorities - are shot every weekend. That doesn't fit the narrative because it highlights decades of failures by liberals in our cities. Trump can't be blamed. So nothing to see there. It does amaze me that the same people who obsessed on Jan. 6 feel like they can riot and obstruct the federal law enforcement because they are don't like it. What about the unarmed women who was killed on Jan. 6? The same folks protesting this most recent incident appear to believe her killing was justified even though she was unarmed and not driving a vehicle at the officer who killed her.
