With all the hate directed at the insurance companies in the aftermath of the recent shooting, I have to say that when my daughter had leukemia several years ago that our insurance company was fantastic. Her medical bills over that three years or so were probably in the millions. No hassle from my insurance company. In fact, they went out of their way to call me to ensure everything was on track. A huge relief during that period not to have to worry about the bills. I realize that isn't the case for everyone but it was in my case.

On the other side via type 1 diabetes I have had the opposite insurance experience throughout most of my life.

The best example I can give is when a few years ago my doctor changed my insulin regime to 5 shots a day.

My doctor prescribed 150 needles per month, my insurance approved 100 needles per month.

I can still remember the pain/dullness of those recycled needles and the massive bruises they left.

I am not going to shed a tear for insurance executives that have lived a lifetime of luxury via other’s daily pain.

Doug and Jason. Both of your posts are spot on. There is not enough consistency in something that should be consistent. It is maddening and sad at the same time. I have great sympathy for all and anyone when we need to use insurance.

Had a similar healthcare insurance experience to Doug's as my wife was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer in 2016. After nearly 6 years of treatments, surgery, hospitalizations, chemo, scans, clinical trials, you-name-it, everything that could be done to treat her terrible illness was provided for her. The bills had to add up to millions, yet our out-of-pocket expenses were very minimal. Unfortunately, Deb passed away in early 2022, but I can take some comfort in knowing the medical care she received was top notch. Yes, I too realize, this is not always the case with insurance claims and I can understand the frustration of others.

Now that is how a trailer should be directed; doesn't give away the whole movie like most do..................looks like a keeper to me.

TWD was so disappointing, I was invested for several seasons and then just gave up, no clue how it ended, although with all the spin offs, it looks like it never did.

Which is pretty annoying in and of itself.

I re-watched "28 Days Later" and "28 Weeks Later" this week. Solid zombie flicks. Those fast zombies are a lot more frightening than the lumbering zombies in TWD where every baby in a stroller could take out a mob of them. The Oppenheimer actor is in 28 Years Later.

Which is why I loved the remake of Dawn of the Dead where the survivors were in the mall; one of the few movies where the remake was better than the original.
