Things that I really like (1 Viewer)

Buffet breakfast at a good hotel. Start by grabbing two glasses of orange juice and putting them on my table. Then bacon, eggs, and hash brown. Then cereal. Then some more bacon and eggs. Then a croissant. Just marvelous. That said, a word of advice to hotels. The reason the orange juice runs out all the time is that no-one wants apple juice or 'fruits of the forest' at 7 a.m. The same for strawberry jam. Who actually enjoys marmalade?

......for the record I love marmalade :ROFLMAO: ......and strawberry jam, not necessarily on the same bit of toast though :p

Love me wee glass of cold tomato juice too and plenty of tomato sauce (ketchup) on my breakfast sausage, bacon and eggs......followed by a stiff coffee with cream:giggle:😋

Never sit next to me at breakfast. I cannot even look at sauce without discomfort.

I have found in the US that bacon is generally served crispy, which I hate. I like it soft rather than hard enough to pick up and eat like a biscuit.
I love the smell of bacon cooking, likewise the smell of onions being fried.

For you Brits out there what is with the baked beans for breakfast? Our first morning in London I went down to check the breakfast buffet and there were baked beans. I went back up to our room and that is the first thing I told her, baked beans for breakfast? They should be eaten with BBQ for lunch or dinner.

Some people like them as part of their "Full English " breakfast Gary, along with the Fried eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Mushrooms, fried tomato and fried bread. Black pudding, (blood sausage) used to be fairly common in some parts of the Country, as did White pudding (containing suet and oats)in other parts like Scotland and Ireland.
Eaten with a good dollop of ketchup or brown sauce, depending on preference and if you were still hungry some bread and butter or perhaps buttered toast, washed down with cups of tea !

Dozens of school camps when I was a teacher and I have never, ever even tried a single baked bean.
