Things that I really like (7 Viewers)

How many businesses had to close due to the disastrous COVID shutdown policy? An economic catastrophe. There was record inflation under Biden when he flooded the country with government handouts while shutting down the supply chain resulting in hyperinflation. The impact of tariffs has been minimal by comparison. Tariffs are a traditional tool of the Democrats. There are legitimate pros and cons to tariffs depending on what type of business that you are in. Some benefit and others do not. The opposition to tariffs in this instance is driven by politics rather than economics. It goes like this, if Trump is for it, many people are against it for that reason. It doesn't matter to them whether the underlying policy is good for the country.
sorry man...you're jumping all around...
don't know what Covid and Biden and have to do with these new tariffs...

which Trump now plans on raising another 10% today...what can I say...

embrace the new 10% affordability tax...

Trump has already countered with a "10% across the board worldwide tariff"; again, there are many moving parts to this, it's far from over/a done deal.
again...tell you like I said earlier...
"embrace the new 10% affordability tax"...
I'm not selling imports...it's "mo money...mo money...mo money" out of your pocket...

Oh and it's "over and above existing tariffs", so the UK is now 20%, China is now 40%.

So Doug, you're good, tariffs will still be place.

And no disrespect, but the idea that consumers would be looking for some sort of refund on the tariffs they paid is.....................well it's laughable beyond belief.

far as I'm concerned...that's right...it's only retroactive to the seller if anything comes of it...

There's no jumping around. If you were concerned with businesses closing (and you are not), then the COVID lockdown caused more harm. If you are concerned with higher prices (and you are not), then the hyperinflation caused by Biden resulted in greater increases in prices. Your mantra is as follows. If Trump is for it, you are against it. No matter whether the policy is good or bad. If Trump cured cancer, then you would say he did it only for profit and was contributing to overpopulation.

Again, I'm not for or against tariffs. Depending on your business, there are some who benefit and some who are penalized. The fact remains that other countries have placed tariffs on US goods for decades. Resulting in an unfair trade advantage. This from the same countries whose national defense we have effectively covered since WWII. To the tune of billions. If your kids can't read, and you can't afford health care, it is because the US pays for the national defense of much of the world. Canada, for example, doesn't even have a single warship but they impose tariffs on US goods and side with China in a trade war. Trump has at least acknowledged the problem and tried to solve it. That's more than any other politician in my lifetime has done.

The Rentenmark. I had never heard of this until reading a series of books about the Weimar Republic. An ingenious means to cope with hyperinflation. If only someone had woke up Biden and told him about this.

If that were true about me… and it’s not, then you are the polar opposite of loving everything he does…
