Things that I really like (3 Viewers)

I like doublebock beers, the style now associated most closely with Munich and Bavaria, though it didn't arise there, they adopted it.

A beer distributor not far from me advertised that he had gotten in a shipment Delicator doublebock. That's brewed by the Hofbräu brewery in Munich, of the song's fame. They don't ship it to the US, so this was the first time I saw it, since I was last in Munich, 30 years ago. I was able to get some, and it is better than I thought it would be. Sweet, malty, strong. Almost as good as the best example, Salvator from Paulaner, or maybe as good. And much better than the other brand that is sold here, Spaten's Optimator. The owner said he was able to get a limited supply and when it's gone, that's it. I urged him to talk to the wholesaler, though, and see if he can get word back to the brewery that they might want to start shipping it.

Excellent beer, and it has made the Christmas and New Year's holiday that much cheerier.

Prost!

Brad, wholly agree with you, German Doppelbach and Schwarz biers are the best IMO. Here's one of my favorites and it's readily available here. WarnsteinerKostritzer.jpg is also very good.

I was at the Hofbrau house in Munich over the summer. The locals seem to view it as a kind of tourist trap akin to Planet Hollywood but I was a tourist. So I enjoyed it. A lot of pre-war Nazi history there. Surreal to visit to those kinds of places. Most of the tourists there don't have a clue. You can walk up the stairs and see the room where the Nazi party originated but no one does.

The US freezing most foreign aid. The US has propped up the rest of the world since WWII. I'm sure a small percentage of this spending went to good causes, but the bulk was wasted or provided no benefit to the US. US cities are in ruin. US schools are a disaster. US infrastructure is a disaster. It's great to see a reset of that spending.

Another heart warming story on yet another cold N.E. day ... Boston I.C.E. agents arrest Haitian MS13 gang-banger, with "at least" 17 convictions while screaming "f-Trump" and "Biden forever" as he's being shoved in the SUV.
If sanctuary cities/states want to endanger their legal residents by harboring convicted illegal "migrants" then all their federal funds should be shut off!

He also thanked Obama for all that he did for him, as well he should; afterall, Obama ran the country for 12 years with a 4 year break in between.

Or how much of that money was sent as "aid", then laundered and rotated back to the U.S. to shell companies.

Trump's not playing around, that's for sure.

Randomly tuning into Fox News and hearing Trump say: "No wonder that fish is in trouble, they turned off the water." Apparently in reference to the smelt fish and LA fires. It's absolutely impossible to "unpack" that sentence. Advanced AI computers will self-destruct trying to decipher all the variables. My 85-year-old dad, who is a lifelong democrat but convert to Trump, has been trying to interject "Gulf of America" into every conversation as in "I see it has been snowing along the Gulf of America."

"Nobody's Fool." A Paul Newman movie based on the Richard Russo novel. It was on TCM last night. Fantastic. Bruce Willis is also in this movie. A dark comedy in which not a single word is wasted. Watching this movie, I felt awful for Willis and his struggle with dementia. He was on top of his game. A very talented actor. Even so Newman is unreal. A larger-than-life guy.

Trying not to really pile on here, but approach this from a common sense viewpoint. According to the current laws in place, if you land here without going through proper channels, you are by law defined as an ILLEGAL ALIEN. I have to tell you, it is refreshing that this correct term is being correctly applied again. I am not against immigration, but god darn it, it is about time the laws are enforced. It is breaking our bank, our will and our culture, that is going to change and I for one am happy. I am not looking to be cruel, but when I see this crap ass reporting showing some elementary kid cry b/c his parents are being arrested........................duh........they have a felony warrant? WTF, why is this a human interest story, it is a crime, period, there is a reason there is a warrant, why, because there has been a crime committed or alleged, CRIME. Why not report it factually - person is being detained on a warrant, they are here illegally, so back they go. End of story.

All I have to say - BOUT TIME. This is what I like, enforcing just laws.

Or, FAFO.

Mexico has some of the toughest immigration laws in the world. Only the US and Europe are bad people for following their laws.

There were an estimated 10-15 million illegal aliens let into the country in the last few years. While I'm fully supportive of the efforts to deport them, the current rate of a few hundred per day isn't going to cut it. I'm not a math major but it would take a thousand years to put a dent in it at that rate. There needs to be mass deportations.

I would like to point out that Hamas sympathizers with Student visas who can be identified either currently or historically from college protests will now have their visas revoked and they will be escorted from the USA> I think personally this is to me is the greatest thing our new Pres has done thus far. Pretty much common sense, huh, if you proclaim surpport to a universally recognized international terrorist organization (who is pledged to the death of the USA and Israel among others), why in the blue moon should you have the privilege of learning at USA taxpayer funded or supported universities (private are supported by us taxpayer tuition).

Again, probably for me, one of his best acts yet. There is nothing to argue with here, video evidence and arrest records do not lie. I can tell you they are cheering loudly right now at the University of Texas.
