Falkland War 1982, surrender at Goose Green, Stanley and Port Stanley. Robin.

Really great diorama! You succeed in recreating the lanscape and climate of those islands, not easy to do.{bravo}}{bravo}}{bravo}}{bravo}}

Lovely stuff, great pics Robin :salute:: and I see you have received your Scorpion ^&grin - the first collectors photo I have seen of it.

Still awaiting delivery on mine........

Cheers

Roy

The tank and troops look great but you made the scene with ambiance and, like Poppo said, recreating the look of the land (according to pics I've seen - I've never been there!).
Awesome job again,
Paddy

Thanks guys, you always make my posts worth doing. Roy I have a second Scorpion on a shelf next to Moody Creek Barracks ready for a fighting scene involving the Marines Andy is doing and Argentines. You will not be disappointed with this little vehicle it’s really cool. Robin.

Looking forward to your treatment of the Scorpion Roy. Understand if sales are good for this reconnaissance vehicle, Andy will follow up with a Scimitar version. The expectation would translate to next year, but nevertheless would be most welcome, with space already reserved for 2 of them. In the meantime I am very happy with my 2 Scorpions and have now completed a further 3 scenes for release over the next 3 weeks. Starting to relax after waiting for this little beauty for over a year. Robin.

Two mistakes, having a brain fade. Should be Moody ‘Brook’ Barracks and Andy is currently doing fighting Para’s, not Royal Marines. These figures will be suitable for the Goose Green aspect and of course heading to Stanley. Fingers crossed under the Christmas tree. Hopefully around the same time some fighting Argentines to even things up. Robin.

I knew what you meant Robin :) I don't have brain fades............ I have Senior moments ^&grin Would be really something if the Para's (and some Argentines) arrive in time for Christmas. Very much looking forward to an update on these - I believe Andy said when mentioning the forthcoming Para's - "more of which, later" or some such.

Roy

21st May 1982, a landing craft from HMS Fearless, off loads in San Carlos Bay, supplies include the first of 4 Scorpion reconnaissance vehicles. Nearby a straggler from the Argentine outpost at Fanning Point, is escorted by a British Para. Robin.
