time on my hands at last (1 Viewer)

Nice to hear from you OD. Not collecting Napoleonic's is due only because of the massed figures, inc cavalry, artillery and firing lines, the cost to duplicate these is just too daunting, not to mention the space required to set out a decent battle scene. Agree the colour aspect is there, but my problem would be I would want hundred's of figures and therefore all my other series would have to take a back seat. Having said that I have weakened slightly dabbling with Hougoumont{sm4}{sm4}. Robin.

... only very slightly, I hope. {sm4}

It's not really that daunting, whilst actual Nap armies are usually depicted massed, toy soldier displays may look too cluttered when similarly massed. A couple of ranks in a shortened firing line, perhaps 8 to 12 men across usually does the trick visually.

Bests

Gee they are whacking it up quickly Robin! Are you putting in a reverse cycle air conditioner for those freezing winters and blistering hot summers you have?

Robin,
Ok that looks nice but we all know that is just the shed for the boxes for the next years purchases {sm4}

Looking forward to seeing the contents set up and your better half must be happy to get her dining table back{sm3}

I think even with the new shed Brett, if Robin were to keep the boxes from all his massive purchases then his missus will have buckley's chance in getting her dining table back!!! ^&grin

Robin...your "man cave" structure is looking awesome...I bet it will be nice to have everything consolidated in one place and have some permanent displays...I need one of those...it looks pretty healthy...what are the dimensions on it?

[You wont know yourself Robin , shed is looking great . A great day when you don't have to pack up Graham

Perhaps Robin's wife has shown him the door {eek3} When I used to complain to an old girlfriend about this, that or another thing, her stock response was "don't let the door hit you on the way out."

You blokes realize that is not Robin's main shed, it is just the small one to store the receipts of his purchases.................^&grin:wink2:
Wayne.

Don't forget mate that Robin probably has another shed that houses his enslaved boat and building maker!!! ^&grin

Robin...I do like these new AE pieces...I'm so glad Andy is re-visiting this series...it's been a while since I have spent any money on it...nice pics!

Very nice Robin but these massive structures are another example on why you need an industrial sized shed! {sm2}{sm4}

A Pharaoh arrives at the door of his temple and deep within, while at another door a concrete truck arrives and deep within. Robin.

There's nothing like the smell of fresh concrete in the morning......exciting times Robin! I like the mini-mixer too, nothing worse than having to barrow the stuff from the road.{eek3}

Was it morning the concrete arrived Robin or was it in the evening? Either way I bet your collection is starting to pile up on that newly concreted floor! {sm3}

Nice pic's of the other stuff as well!

Tom
