Trophy Boxer Rebellion (1 Viewer)

Hi Damian, Hawkeye,
I know I have the Manchu Ten and the Peking Barricade (this is not the wall, a smaller set), I think I have another figure set too. I like the Dragon b/c it is very unique. My friend Larry has about 4 dragons and he had indicated that each one is slightly different in paint scheme. Len must have changed over time. As for price, I bid 375 thinking if I steal it great, if not, I am still not betting the farm!

I think these are hot now, but I still don't think it is widely widely collected. There will be deals coming, once the heavy wallets buy what they want, other sets will open up. Seriously, this range never sold that great, you could get whole sets for 110 brand new for a long time. Just like some of the Older K&C, we will see price spikes and then dips. Now, the Zulu, a different story, that stuff is truly hot!

As I said before, $480 for the Kansu is nuts!

You are correct tom, the dragon gun listed on the trophy of texas site had all for men standing. I think the one you got is the better looking. I know i have 4 french horse artillery sets and each one is a little diferent. So i bet that laryy's for dragon guns lined up is an impressive site.

I have not seen all 4 together, but most of Larry's stuff is impressive!

Again, I think patience will win out on this series. We will have to be careful not to constantly step on each other!!!

Tom,
No stepping, only friendly prods and pinches!

It is like the catalogue that sold for 300 USD last month. One high price often brings other sets to the market.
There are some interesting sets on sale.
Good luck to whoever is bidding on them.

Hi everyone. Did Trophy produce different versions of the Peking Gate? I recently managed to find one but it looks different to the version shown on this thread. In particular the walls are a different colour, only one side appears to be painted and there is no ledge on the back of the walls. Photos of my version are attached. I would appreciate your thoughts.

Yes, they made two versions. I have the one you have you are missing the two supports in the walkway for each wall when I get home tonight I will try to take a picture and put those up for you.

I agree — Len made two versions of the gate, and the later one is definitely a bit better. I have both: one is currently sleeping somewhere in storage, and the other is sitting conveniently in a box on the shelf. I’ll post some photos when time (and motivation) permits! 😄

Thank you, which one is the later one? Is there a different set number or description for the two different versions?
