I noticed the WB figure too and it does fit in well with the glossies. The lancer being thrown from his horse looks neat!!! and chance of a pic of that one (when you have time of course)

Cheers

Scott

Scott, Sorry for the delay... Had to get both stunt doubles to pose just right...union actors I tell you! This is set HZ16 in the Hand to Hand series with 17th Lancers being felled at Ulundi. Mike

Fellow Men of Harlech,
Question on a set on ebay at this time... It says for Zulu war, but I recall
UCLA1967 saying that the bases for Trophy Zulu were green and the Sudan period were brown. Also, the guy on the left has brown webbing I'm not familiar with in the 1870's. Can you guys help me identify this set? Many Thanks as always. Mike

The figures are definitley Trophy. I agree brown base is Egypt Sudan.

Damian,
Thanks as always! How about the map...Could that be the Med on the top of the side they are looking at?

Mike it seems to be an older set of Trophys Battle Strategy. The newer set TD1A features 4 different figures on green bases a table with a rolled out map and the tent identical to B97 which you have a photo of and a bed instead of a cot............The Lt.

Thanks men,
I'll go with a Sudan version, which I don't need. Of course thanks for the input
Lt. ,Damian and GICOP! It might be a goodie for somebody collecting the Trophy Egypt/Sudan series. Mike

I would not let a brown base put you off those guys. We have some mud here in South Africa it is not all green grass.
Len often simply repainted some of the sets for different uses.

Looks like Trophy of Texas have updated their site.

"October 15...I have just updated the ZULU WAR section of the website to reflect ALL of the remaining Zulu War sets that we have (or will ever have) in stock. (IF THE LISTING IS IN RED THEN IT'S IN STOCK) I also have a personal shelf of Zulu pieces for sale that includes both of the buildings and approx. (haven't counted them recently) 100 British and Zulu figures from complete sets and from sets that we used left-overs from helping out clients....if you'd like a price on the ENTIRE shelf of figures (NO CHERRY PICKING!) I would be happy to produce a quote for you....I'd make someone a nice deal on these but due to the number of figures involved it would still be over $3000.00"

Hmmm ... and my girlfriend has mentioned we need new shelves
