Trophy of Wales (3 Viewers)

Fellow Men of Harlech,
Question on a set on ebay at this time... It says for Zulu war, but I recall
UCLA1967 saying that the bases for Trophy Zulu were green and the Sudan period were brown. Also, the guy on the left has brown webbing I'm not familiar with in the 1870's. Can you guys help me identify this set? Many Thanks as always. Mike

Here are a couple of pictures reference the map table

The Officers grouped around the table

This shows the map and detailed on the map are ULUNDI and ISANDWANA.

Note the spelling on the map

Cheers

Martyn

I would not let a brown base put you off those guys. We have some mud here in South Africa it is not all green grass.
Len often simply repainted some of the sets for different uses.

Damian,
How will you be able to live with yourself knowing you were responsible for expanding my collection quest to include Egypt/Sudan? Shame on you!:D
Mike

Martyn,
Thanks for the up-close on the map. The other (Sudan) has the blue water on the top indicating the Med and Egypt. Mike

If you turn the SUdan map 90 degrees anti clockwise teh bleu will end up due east and you could say it is the Indian Ocean with the Tugela running into it.

Martyn,
I'd recognize that Lt. Col. Buller anywhere! Like the horsehandler and the staff
officer with the cigar is a must have! Is this a set released, or one of the Len Taylor Martyn specials? Mike

This thread has certainly been most enlightening, thanks to all who taken the time to share their figures with the rest of us.

Hi Mike

This was released as a set but I'm not sure of the set number. I'll see if I can find it out for you.

Martyn and Mike I believe it may be the olders set of Battle Strategy TD1 a photo if the later set appears in MKL Models Catalogue as TD1A featuring the same four figures with table a newer map along with the same tent which appears in both set of BD7 and BD9 and includes a well made bed. Jeff it's been fun putting the photos together and sharing them.......The Lt.
