Trophy of Wales (2 Viewers)

Glad to see you pulling out and photographing all these neat soldiers Mike. Great stuff :D:):D

Thanks Scott,
It requires very steady hands getting 'em set up. I just bungee-corded an Imperial Natal Native Horseman (without a bungee-cord) right on top of a woodburning stove. Now his carbine is shiny metal instead of gloss brown. I'm thinking of a safety net in the future, or at least Connor (my 9-year old) can hold the trout net below his father when He's near the cabinets:cool::eek:

Two mounted members of the Royal Artillery rush past their 7 pounder Rifled Muzzle Loader to try to stem the Zulu attack on the camp at Isandlwana. They will need to pack up soon enough.

Cool photo
Thanks for posting

Got to agree Damian the gun crew seems to be from Trophy's earlier sets and love the mounted artillery man wielding his saber and nice seeing the figures coming out of the wood work. Thanks for sharing the set and figures my Aide De Camp...The Lt.

The mounted RA are from set #MTDRA, go figure:p I beleive that you (Lt.) and Martyn have this set in some version. I love the weights and chains on the gun and the detail, which is much better than usual for Len. However, it's not on a Kaffrarian carriage, which all of N Battery had their 6 7pounders on.

Soon as I get moved and set up. I have a few of the Zulus and some ACW. Not a whole lot of either. I will have to sell something to finance them when I find any that is:p

Oh my god, that is all i can say as i pulled up the ebay auction you guys are talking about. I was wondering if it was abandon the hospital or the store house set. I couldn't believe it when i saw it was hz24. 10 times its original value, that's assanine. I think i have to rethink my zulu trophy collection. Maybe its time to sell it and reinest in little legion.

Little Legion is nice I have some, but I think they lack the character of Trophy

you know your right, i could never sell off my trophy number one, and little legion is nice and provides me with some good accent pieces but its not trophy. sorry dietz if you happen to be reading this as i know you love little legion. in a way too, its what you get started on. my neighbor across the street[ yes there is more than one toy soldier collector in iowa] started with imperial and swears by them. but still at some of those prices one does get to thinking.

Start of a little play time with my new set of Trophy figures.....The Lt.
