The last picture is of the Bay of Natal (Easter Monday 2009). The troops on their way to Zululand would have landed here in 1878 and 1879. There have been a few changes in the intervening 130 years.

I agree you can never have too many posts of AZW figures. Keep'em coming.

Damian,
Awesome! Love 'em all, and a screw gun detachment as well! And a pic of the Bay, as well! Certainly has changed from the swamp days.
Mike

Damian,

Now I see why you took this picture of the Bay.

Thanks again.

Best, Raymond.

Here's the 1998 version of set EQ44 EQ44Z I'm sure you'll note the differance between the first and last version...The Lt.

Now that is interesting Joe, your set has the Officer loading his pistol and the description in the catalogue for EQ44Z has “Officer with binoculars”, looks like another Len quirk.

Cheers

Martyn:)

Martyn in MKL Models Catalogue EQ44Z is photograph which features 2 privates standing with a spare magazine along with the one sitting and firing the gun another of Len's quirks. Trophy of Texas also show the Officer loading his pistol which appeared on his web site on the 27 March 2003......The Lt.

That officer loading his service revolver is another well travelled Trophy casting.

Hi Joe

I noticed that in the MKL catalogue, but at least you get most of the sets shown with a colour photo unlike the 1998 Trophy catalogue which I took the set description from;)

Cheers

Martyn:)
