Yep, A fav of mine too! Thanks, Martyn for posting this
wonderful camp scene. I wish Lynn had mad some guys still in Bell tents zonked out on their greatcoats or bunks at least. And a gent cleaning his Martini Henry. And a ranker leaning over a stream or bucket drinking water with hands cupped:cool:

Hi Martyn,

I would climb a mountain ten times over to get this one.

The "spick and span" figure is my favourite.

He reminds me of my days in camouflage.

I learnt how to have a close shave in the field without a mirror.:p

Cheers, Raymond.:)

Martyn do you have all of the TD sets?

Hi Joe

Unfortunately no, but I hope to get a list together of all the sets. I have started to research the TD series, it had sets from various campaigns including AZW, Afghan and Boxer and was a pre-run for the BD series. I have the following sets

TD1 and TD1A---AZW
TD2---AZW
TD3---AZW
TD4---AZW
TD8---AFGHAN
TD10---AZW

It may take a little while but I hope to have a list by Xmas 2009

Cheers

Thanks for the quick reply Martyn and I've a feeling once found they may end up in your Trophy Treasure Chest:cool::cool::cool:

That is a great set.
I am not sure, but I think Trophy never really revisited that set.
It was not listed in my 1996 catalogue and I have never seen it with the new bases.
So it seemed to remain an early release item.
Len often redid sets from the early years later on.

Thank you Damian, Raymond, Mike, Scott and Joe. I think it is a quite unique set, the only figure that made an appearance in another set is the chap opening the rations box and then the base was altered to allow a ammo/ration box to fit seperately.

Hi Martyn,

Thanks very much for posting the pictures of this wonderful set.

This set exemplifies the quintessential character of Len Taylor's masterly work.

I got me excited and off tangent when I first saw your pictures.

Cheers, Raymond.:)

Had to get the Naval Brigade 9-pounder and crew off my desk, so I caught them after a volley!

Mike,

Were you out on the water this weekend, your pictures seem to have a Naval theme.:D

This is a nice set, is the gun a Trophy one as it seems slightly different to the ones I have?

Cheers

Martyn,
Yes it is Trophy, and very unusual in that the gunner seats are detailed in paint and the muzzle has a front sight...I got this a while ago from Mr. Conte... I'll get some more close-ups soon .

Thanks Mike, looking forward to the close-ups
