I watched the latest episode last night and to be honest I,m getting completely confused!

Right there with you, I'm a bit confused, will watch it again as I've done with all the others.......the part I'm confused about is the two cops who interviewed the partners know about the guy with the scars, so why didn't lawnmower man jump out at them as they talked to him, they drove away so fast he couldn't finish his sentence...........or is it sentance.........well it might be a prison sentence for him......or is it sentance.

This show has been so good that I don't think there is anyway to end it that will satisfy everyone. Once the rabbit is out of the hat the suspense will be gone. But I'm hoping for the best.

HBO and their short number of episode seasons is irritating,,and where is the 8th AF saga

Nevermind, they weren't the same cops.

Told you I was confused.

I think the last episode will be satisfying. This is a well produced show with 2 quality actors who also helped produce it.My concern will be next year when there will be a new story with new actors/actresses.Hope it don't go down the American Horror Story route. If you like creepy/horror check out Penny Dreadful. It comes out in May on Showtime. Also see that the AWI show Turn comes on the same time, same day as Game of Thrones. That's like a lightweight boxer in his first professional fight going against the heavyweight champ. What will help is that a whole lot of people have the cable premium stations but I really don't give it much of a chance as most people aren't into historical shows that the time period is before WWII.I hope I'm wrong and that the show is good.

George has inspired me to go back and watch the entire season before the conclusion. Couple of curious things in episode one that I watched again last night. The visit to the murder victim's mother in which there is a picture of her as a little girl surrounded by hooded men. Also the implication that she may have been molested by her father. The backstory appears to be a group engaged in ritual killings and molestation including some highly placed religious figures. Possibly with law enforcement involvement or protection. Using schools and churches to gain access to many of the victims. It's also interesting that Marty's own daughter had a number of bizarre drawings and behavior issues. Was his wife's father a part of this? One thing I don't get about the descriptions of the man with scars on his face is that he is described as a "giant." The lawnmower man did not appear to fit that bill. On to episode two...

There are so many things you miss the first time through, a lot of things become clearer after a second viewing. I noticed a drawing on the girls bedroom wall that was in the same shape as the black swirl tattoo on the first victims back, also there is a painting on Marty's bedroom wall that is the same as one hanging on the wall at the facility the girl whom he rescued now lives.

Also, the man with the scars is described as having green ears; could they be those hearing protection headsets landscapers and tarmac workers at the airport wear?

I meant to say that a lot of people DON'T have the cable premium stations.

Almost time to get the Lone Star beer and Jameson whiskey ready for tonight.

Great ending and I guess the only way they could really have ended it. An old fort in the middle of nowhere, boy was that creepy. I'm a sucker for happy endings. :rolleyes2: At least they didn't kill Marty and Rust. Terrific series and I'm sorry to see it end. The writers maintained the creep factor and weirdness to the very end. Bravo! -- Al

Couldn't agree more, a great ending to one of the greatest series I've ever seen on TV, a shame it's over, both actors were brilliant in this.

Just awesome on every level.

I said this would be a very good series and I was right!^&grin{bravo}}

I was mixed on the ending. If the show had not been so great up to that point, it would have been a standard end to a TV crime drama. No great surprises. I don't hold that against them though. That's probably how most cases are solved. What was with lawnmower man's changing voice? At one point he was speaking in a British accent! Maybe I missed something. I suppose there was some message intended by the happy ending. But it seemed a bit contrived. Overall, a really great show.

Woody Harrelson did his usual good job but somewhere along the line Matthew McConaughey has turned into a top flight actor. It has been his year, so far. His character was so low key, so reserved, that I actually had a little trouble understanding what he was saying on occasion and I had to replay some of the dialogue, but it wasn't a big problem. HBO is going to be hard-pressed to keep up this level of excellence with the next story, especially in terms of the acting. -- Al

Couldn;'t agree more Al, both were brilliant in the series, hard to believe Harrelson's first role was as a goodball bartender on Cheers, wow has he come a long way.

I loved the ending. I think it was actually radical that it had a positive ending. All of these new shows try to top each other in being dark and disturbing. The speech Rust gave about his daughter and father in his near death experience was a complete turn around from his view on life. I read a few reviews online today and the cynical hipsters were not happy. In the end, they turned out to be heroes not anti heroes.
