Agree. It's gonna be tough but I never expected anything with Matthew and Woody to be so entertaining, either. Season 1 had it all, mystery, murder, flashbacks, big creep factor, and just brilliant acting. Will be watching to see what Colin and Vince bring to the table.:wink2: -- Al
 
Heard that the actors did a fine job with a weak script this year but let's look at it and judge for ourselves.I very rarely agree with critics.A lot of people didn't like the Vikings this year but I did.A lot of people don't like Black Sails but I do so I will judge for myself.

I liked episode 1 just fine. Mucho interesting characters. Interesting story, so far. And the Colin Farrell cop has issues, big time. -- Al
 
I think they all have issues.I also think it was a good episode.

I watched it last night...
it was entertaining...

some pretty dark disturbed characters so far...

looking forward to next week...

does anyone know offhand how many episodes this season has?
 
Liked episode #1, I'll stick with it.
After True Detective HBO premeired two other series "Ballers" OK I,ll give it a few more episodes. The 2nd one about the U.S. Government I thought was terrible, flat out stupid.

I thought the episode was ok. To be honest, the only good acting I saw was from Rachel McAdams. The rest of them seemed to be playing up to a stereotype.

Watched a few minutes of Ballers. As George says, there's a few minutes I can't get back.

I love Duane Johnson, but Ballers was brutal......................as far as True Detective; so Viagra man on the motorcycle just happens to stop where the body is, what a happenstance......................my head was spinning with all that went on in the first episode, it's like last seasons run, you have to watch each episode a couple of times to connect the dots.
 
I'm on the fence so far. This was a bit "Chinatown" meets "Twin Peaks." Last season was so great it's inevitable that some folks will be disappointed. There was a lot to absorb.

I liked Ballers...
Duane Johnson has rounded out into a pretty good actor...
thought episode 1 was interesting...
I am recording the series...
 
My view on Ballers is do I really want to see a show about a bunch of overpaid athletes and their private lives. Bad enough I have to watch them play in real life.
 
I like Ballers theme...

seems like a story line with a lot of truth to it...
fortunes squandered...
crazy lifestyles...
an inside glimpse of similar reality stories I have seen in the news over the years...

it hits home with a lot of truth about today's athletes...

it has a good cast...
plus the acting seems more than sufficient...

don't understand all the negativity about it...
I enjoyed it...
