US/Israel Launches Op Epic Fury Against Iran (7 Viewers)

My vote is option 2; the Trump haters/half the country and a faltering stock market and economy with the mid terms looming will pressure him into ending this prematurely, Iran suffered a mild setback will continue to work on their plan to destroy Israel and the US.
There is literally no winning with those types. Their current narrative is that this conflict is not justified. But if Trump decides to pull the plug, as they apparently want him to do, the tune will change to his having capitulated to Iran. He will be the TACO. And on and on it goes.

It's exhausting, I've had enough of all of this.

Doug...George...

Trump has painted himself into a corner...

as I don't believe Iran has to negotiate...they seem to have the upper hand right now...time is on their side...

if Trump walks away...and Iran keeps the Straight of Hormuz stays closed to International shipping...still allowing Iran to ship/sell their oil to the select groups they choose...while lining their pockets... it will put a stranglehold on the rest of the world...oil prices will continue to rise...their will be a bigger global crisis on oil than there is now...God bless the stock market...and the US will probably end up in a recession...

if Trump puts troops on the ground...it would probably be a disaster...with drones causing nightmarish casualties...gory and ghastly...

you keep saying Trump haters and fake news will influence his decision...
you should look at the polls on how America favors this war...
you can blame it on fake news...
but it's more than a majority of the US that views it negatively...lots of polls confirm this...

it may be too late...and I doubt it could happen now...but there might still be a way to negotiate...

Credit Israel for destroying or weakening their allies but I don’t believe this regime is going anywhere unless the Iranian people rise up. I firmly believe that in any dictatorial or autocratic regime, it is the people themselves that must do the work, not outside forces (who can help but can’t be the ones that do it).
I believe this too. At the end of the day, if we stone age them, still has to be new leadership emerge and right now the Republican Guard is killing them everytime they try to rise.

I thought I heard a snippet on the news that they found one of them and were using the transponder to find the other?
Yes, heard they had one safe, you expect them to be using the transponder to locate the other, there are pictures on the BBC of two choppers circling attached to a refueller, assuming they are waiting for the call and keeping the tanks topped up. I remember going on a course while serving, RM, where the talk was from a pilot who been shot down and had to eject, he mentioned the transponder was automated, as the aircrew could be unconscious. What they highlighted was it is an extremely rare event for a fighter aircrew to eject and it is something the training, any training, does not prepare you for. It was more likely than not the ejecting aircrew would suffer an injury while ejecting, which leads me to think how stressful it must be and the physical pressure on your body, dislocations, whiplash, banging yourself on the cockpit as you eject, etc. I only jumped out of an airplane as prepared to do so and in a controlled manner.

A question on the radio news phone in tonight was, If captured what is the legal status of the aircrew? As this not a 'war' in the conventional sense, self-declared by the US President, therefore not a conventional POW.
