Walking Dead, Season 4 (2 Viewers)

It was a great episode until the cartoon character the Governor showed up at the end.

I hope he gets offed in one or two episodes; if they drag his character out all season long, they are going to blow the series.

AND, if he teams up with Carol to wage war on the prison, that will end it for me, I'll be done.

Agree the "Governor" in the last season nearly turned me off the show so if he hangs around this time to long it will be
game over.
Hope they do go on the road again much more action/slaying its more intense when there outside scrounging etc.

I hate the Guv character. For the most part, he was a big turn off during season 3. No doubt his death is being set up, but at what cost of this current seasons very good scripting and pacing..Michael

Considering the way those with the zombie flu were dropping like flies before the medicine was brought in, those two would have died anyway.

Not sure what would be worse; getting eaten alive by a walker or dying from the zombie flu. The zombie flu looked like a slow and painful way to die, getting ripped to shreds by walkers is also painful, but quick...........

I'll go with the Zombie flu.I know when my cat bites me playing around it hurts like heck.I can't imagine being eaten alive.Oh wait there is a third option.Oh CAROL!where are you.{eek3}^&grin:wink2:

I sure hope the writers don't team up Popeye and Carol. That would be a real dog of a story line. Besides, I don't think they have set up the Carol character to go over to the dark side. She seemed to take the banishment in the spirit of someone who is accepting the inevitable, realizing that her take on survival had simply diverged from Rick's. Don't think she'll want vengeance. I think it more likely that she would kill Popeye if she ever crosses paths with him. -- Al

How about a scenario where Carol appears to team with the Guv but then either betrays him or outright kills him, allowing her to get back in the good graces of the Grimes Group?

Carol doesn't seem like the type that will team up with the Guv. She was the victim of domestic abuse and it would be a major regression of her character to go back into the fold. I think she somehow redeems herself and rejoins the group or gets knocked off trying to do so. Getting a little bored with the flu theme. They are really milking that one. The only sensible storyline that has them leaving the prison is if it gets destroyed and they can no longer defend themselves. So I look for a major battle with the Guv (I'm just guessing here and not providing any spoilers since I haven't read the books).

Maybe the ZOMBIES evolve and Carol gets bit and becomes there leader to take revenge on Rick and co,
or maybe its just the end of her................{eek3}
Seriously i reckon she will find the new "Civilization" the others will have to leave the prison they will be neck deep in ****e,
and like the cavalry Carol will rescue them................^&grin

You must have read the books:rolleyes2: Michael

Writers changed up and threw us a curve. This was a very different episode and a good one. Now Brian is shown as a changed man, possibly a good one. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop during the whole episode and it never dropped. Nice job on the switcheroo by the writers. A parallel story line that (at least temporarily) doesn't include the prison. The Governor has a new family. -- Al

The next episode hasn't been played here yet, but sounds interesting.....not sure how things play out, but the Governor slaughtered his followers without blinking. I just can't imagine him turning into a good guy??

Sorry Al, that the worst episode of WD yet, First time I can remember ever getting up during a WD episode to make a trip to the frig without waiting for one the 284 commercial breaks. Did I ever mention how much I dislike the Guv character. :rolleyes2:

Looks like he's not going to be bumped off anytime soon; the longer they drag out his character, the more viewers they are going to lose, including me.

OK

five episode to tell what's happening in the prison

now ?? five episode to show what's hppening to the guv

and wait the next season for the climax !!!

Yep agree worst episode so far, hope this doesn't go off the rails like other series that hung around to long.

I think you guys are too harsh. Not every episode can be the best one and the Guv is a interesting character.A good man who has went over the edge in order to survive.I don't begrudge him a couple of episodes.

This was a slow burn episode. I kept waiting for the Guv to knock them all off and runaway with the kid. It reminded me of the movie "The Road." An interesting aside, but hopefully they don't overdo it.

I found The Road to be a stunning movie. One of my favorites, even if it is one of the darkest movies I have ever seen. Not a ray of hope anywhere, except the very end and even then only for the immediate future. -- Al

I watched "The Road" only once.It was a very good and all too realistic movie.I think this would be the end would be.I was very depressed after watching it.

It is a staggeringly depressive movie. I was just totally engrossed by it. It is tough to watch as it is so realistic. Even though I think very highly of it, I have only watched it twice. -- Al
