What else do you collect beside toy soldiers (1 Viewer)

I just got this 18 inch tall WWI Russian Imperial Guard Cavalryman Doll by Harwin (the company Steiff's Agent in Britain opened when WWI cut off trade with Germany) for about 1/5 of what they ordinarily go for.^&cool

Here are some photos of the Harwin Russian Doll displayed with a WWI Russian Sheepskin Hat and Belt Buckle:

I just squeeze them closer and closer together John, because there is no way my wife is letting me expand downstairs!😂

Louis,

I was going for the Annabelle vibe...do they move after you display them. I mean you never-ever know.

Sorry John, I missed the joke (I haven’t seen the movies, but I saw the coming attractions so I get it). If any of the dolls comes to life, I’m leaving!😆

I got this 1940’s Royal Canadian Mountie grouping, including tunic, pants, boots, Spurs, belt with pistol holster, binoculars with case, gloves, snow shoes, badges and insignia:

Good friend Ken Osen turned me on to an auction for a New York Volunteers Civil War Officers Chasseur Cap, very similar to the two I already have, but alas, I was outbid. Instead, I ended up using the money I had budgeted for the Chasseur Cap to purchase this amazing, complete, 1914 French Algerian Zouave Uniform, with jacket, baggy pants, cap, and ammunition belt:

I love the new acquisitions, Louis! The zouave uniform is gorgeous, but the RCMP lot is really cool.

I am nearing the final stages of moving in, so be prepared for lots of pictures. As a teaser, please meet my friend: Creepy Dan, the Spanish-American War Man. He is wearing an original Spanish-American War medical captain's uniform. I'm still looking for a cap or helmet, but he is enjoying a locally-made straw hat in the interim.
