OK opened the boxes and took some pictures, on the left Forces of Valor, on the right King & Country
Clearly, Forces of Valor is stamped as a 1/32 model, the same info comes on the K&C box
At first sight the comparison stand :

But now lets take the FoV out of his turret, and set him standing near the K&C ( please take into account that there is no base on the FoV )
nowadays; surprise :

So it's up to you
Personaly, I find the FoV attractive enough to buy, but would put them on separates sheves
Best ( sorry, I have no Thomas Gunn to compare )

King&Country Laying wounded Russian and an older Retired BR054 Horse drawn cart. Can you say "Wehrmacht horse drawn cart" !

Humm,

What a difference....strikes me....I will do as you advise, and have them on separate shelves, when putting them onto dios will have to play with depth of field .....

Cheers

Figures by Richard Almond 90mm Metal
It's what I would call : mud painting, but I paid 30$ for both including sending costs
Will be nice to remove the paint and try my hand

My latest JOHN JENKINS figure arrived yesterday ....

RA_JJD.JPG

He's the one in the middle, the gunner firing the cannon.

I was given the 2 gunners protecting their hearing (wouldn't want to get GunnerEar !)as resin casting a few months back from John,
so they are my painting, and I've tried to match the new one, which I think isn't a bad try???

John

x2 You nailed it! Great painting! Nice job and nice looking figure set also, I wish I could still afford to buy painted metal.:redface2: It would be nice if he would start to sell these unpainted resin figures to collectors like me who just can no longer afford the CRAZY prices of these painted metal sets. I don,t know if I could do as good a job as you have painting them up but I would love to give it a try, looks like it must have been a joy to paint up,well sculpted figures with nice detail like this are always more fun to paint up.

This is what happens when you get some ' lost treasures from Hinchliffe, add to that equation two crazy guys....one ( me ) to search around for sets and propose changes to come up with unique new dios , then the second one ( Obee - half the world away )...a very professional artist that can actually make the first crazy guy's ideas come true........{sm4}^&grin:D:cool:...well you get a great set of Indian Colonial Mountain artillery set with some supporting infantry giving protection to the gun and gunners as they fire long range salvos at Afeghan fighters blocking the passage of the main British column into the Kyhber Pass.....
John, just sent me these pics and I look froward to having them sometime in January and therefore share with you all full dio set ups.....:smile2::)

Cheers A_C

This is really the first and the last. I am trying to wrap up my WB Rorke's Drift collection and then get deep into the CS Agincourt series. I have the ridiculous ambition of 'clearing the decks' before the middle of the year and then looking around either for a single range that represents something new or to cherry pick from a number of ranges without tying myself to years of purchases.

In reality, I am trying to avoid two rather big temptations - the JJ Leuthen series, which is quite stunning and a long term plan for a Hougoment scene. This was further complicated when my wife was visited by an evil, evil TS dealer who in company with a number of ex-friends gifted her a 'Streets of Hong Kong' set.

This is my first Wooden Warbird...Which I just received for Christmas ! A DAK JU87 Stuka...

Rec'd a Little Legion company of Sudanese infantry. Chris

With a Hiriart Camel Corps troop in support.

I unwrapped this one today.
A custom made piece by sculptor Alan Caton and painter John Firth.
Details for the making of this set can be read in my posting in the Treefrog Chat Lounge, called "A very, very special Christmas present".
Cheers!
Konrad (one very, very happy collector) ^&grin
