Where Do We Go From Here? (1 Viewer)

I don't know who used the guitar analogy but it obviously struck a chord because it has made you fret. {sm4}

Jack

That is brilliant!

You write the best posts.

However, would that be open or bar chords? :wink2:

Ha...'Brother Tom'.... you'll never see me old mate Tom in a cassock Toddy :wink2:{sm3}

Mate, you are getting as bad as Marty with the strange words, you have me racing to the dictionary on this one!!{sm4}

The problem with apathy here such as "....oh well I'll only buy a few because they're more expensive or my toy soldier budget will only get me X"....(which by the way I'm very quilty of doing) will keep this hobby heading towards an elitist few with deep pockets thereby preventing far too many from fully participating in the joy that is this hobby. That's not a healthy situation in my opinion. :(
By simply "letting it go" which most of us are doing we will wake up to June's dispatch with $60 figures, then $70, then $80..........

I don't think it is the people who will pay the (P)rice and just by one or two, or just buy fewer figures on the same budget that are a good indicator. It's the people that quietly switch to cheaper manufacturers or stop buying altogether and sell off their collections that will be the indicators. The question is when will this happen, if it happens at all.

We are just looking for that **** bridge!! Thanks for looking.

PS in a real scenario, I do not think they will be walking together this tightly.

Well maybe these guys wouldn't all be bunched up like this but they sure look really good to me (great scene by the way). There is always broo ha ha about shall I shan't I but I'm sure as hell getting these myself in September. I get there are some folk who go through a lot of angst re their purchases but mine is often a gut thing, I either like them or not and purchase or not accordingly. One thing for sure, nobody out there is making Brit Arnhem Para's nearly as good as these right now.^&cool

Your absolutely right Rob. Nobody is making Brit Para's as good as these right now. There are some excellent releases amongst the second batch as far as i can tell. For me, i'll just stick to the two figures i've already decided i'll be buying. Yes, they're overpriced - and yes i'll moan about the price - but they're red berets so a lot of collectors will want one or two in their collection - just be very selective in your purchases. However, if i was an OMG collector completist, and felt compelled to collect them all, i'd be fairly P'd off.

Curiosity got the better of me and I purchased a couple of the figures, with which I am pleased. The painting and the sculpting is a little better than the earlier ones. For those who may be concerned about whether they fit it with the earlier figures, no need to be concerned as they do.

Is the price worth it? That's up for each individual collector to decide. All I can say is that I will probably purchase a few more (I had a little more room than I thought I did).

The second drop of pathfinders has some really fine poses and as an avid OMG collector my resolve has been sorely tested. I waiver between dabbing my toe in like you just did and staying firm. ^&confuse

If you really want them, I would get a few. I collect First Legion Civil War and that's what I do there. They are too expensive to purchase a lot at once so I buy a couple here, couple there and so on.

Brad

Which two did you get? I saw them today all of the new releases and they are as I have always said very nice figures adding to a good range. As you point out I suppose each collector has to decide if they are worth or not the increase. For me, the chap on the para bike is the best from batch one
