Hi guy's let's just talk about the shops and the dealer's and why you do trade with them. I deal with THE MILITARY WORKSHOP in Brisbane Australia and have found them great in all aspects of collecting. These shops don't get enough recognition for what they do and promote toy soldier collecting. So come on and give them a big plug. Simmo.:D
 
Well many moons back (several years to be honest)I used to like the Guards museum Toy Soldier shop near Buckingham palace,they had a superb display in there and I would go in quite often.

Then I discovered K&C UK and to be frank have never looked back. The service is second to none,you order, you get a dispatch email, and next day its at your door. I've never had a single broken item from them and they do me many favours that I just could not expect from anyone else. They always seem to go that extra mile for the customer. Free postage also makes it pointless going elsewhere too. On top of ALL this they really are a very nice bunch of people indeed which makes it a pleasure to do business with them.


And when it come to Figarti's items I am very lucky in having Sir Clive Gande as my dealer, a true gent who also goes out of his way for us Brit collectors. Again, quick safe delivery and really good prices.

So as a collector I am very happy indeed that I have two such good dealers providing me with my collectables. Tony,Clive, that'll be fifty quid each;)

Lynn Kenwood of MKL.

The "The Guards Toy Soldier Centre" in London is the official shop but I am lucky enough to live “just down the road” from Finchampstead , the HO and hub of the MKL organisation. I have special permission to visit and check out the wharehouse for old Trophy sets that still lurk on the shelves there, in fact I'm off to visit Lynn later today, you never know what turns up :cool:

I guess any toy soldier shop is great for me.I don`t really get a chance to visit many living in Halifax Nova Scotia.There`s no shops in my area.The shops I`ve been to all of them have been great.I feel like a fat kid in a candy shop when I do get the chance

Could you ask if they have any old Heco Tinplate Models or A.W. Military Figures sets collecting dust on those old shelves they would be willing to sell to me? I would greatly appreciate it.:)

My favorite Toy Soldier Shop is the Toy Soldier Gallery, in Highland Falls, New York (just outside the gates of Westpoint, the U.S. Army Military Academy). Tony and his wife Marilyn are wonderful people, who carry a wide variety of ranges, and they were the original K&C dealer in the United States. :)
 
My favorite Local military model shop is The Military Workshop which is only One hour away from me in Brisbane Australia. Brett always has time for a chat and truth be told he very seldom charges more than the original retail price for retired King & Country items.

Figarti, Honour Bound and other sets that I can't buy locally I usually get from Treefrog because they also mainly sell at RRP and include lots of packing material that I recycle in my eBay sales.

Ron Ruddell's London Bridge Collector's Toys in Emmaus, PA. Ron's a Britains dealer, also an authorized vendor of replacement parts, and he has a lot of old toy soldiers available, too. He's getting ready to retire, though, so the future of the shop is unclear.

Easy! The Toy Soldier Shoppe near Milwaukee, Wisconsin. One of the few drawbacks to moving back here to Minnesota two years ago is no longer being within short driving distance to Paul's place. I used to regularly enjoy sitting in the chair up by his sales counter for a good chat. Rare treat now, but always look forward to it.

The Guards shop is Great!! although the last time I was here was 95.

The Toy Soldier Shoppe, I enjoy talking with Paul and Carl when I visit the Shoppe. Also they are the only dealers in the Staets that carry Little Legion and the Shoppe is only and hour and half drive from my home.
 
The only shop even close to me is Dutkins in Cherry Hill NJ. But he's over an hour away, and is only open four days a week. I buy 100% of my troops on the internet, and 99% of the time it's from George Guerriero. The best customer service I have had with any online dealer.

I'd have to agree with you...

being located on the sunny shores of the Indian Ocaen..... Its the tyranny of distance for us.... nothing but sand or sea between us and the shops....

Peter Nathan is closest for us, but thats a 5 hour flight.. and who knows how long it would be to go and see Brett in Qld? ( but he does a great mail order :) )

The internet is our way of shopping....

Must say as a compliment to everyone involved in this hobby, I have never had a problem with anyone I have ever dealt with, either buying or selling.
