This is Elephant of Datia, Delhi Durbar 1903 from Beau Geste #BG411
I just love the colors on these Durbar Elephants and there is just something so charming about the gloss "toy" painting. You all know I am collector of Russian figures, but for these, I personally like this style better.
With these four figures, my collection of 1st series K&C World of Dickens is complete! I want to sincerely thank a special person on this forum who helped me finish this collection! It was a long time coming and I am so thrilled to have them all now!
These next few images are knights from Tradition of London. These remind me of figures i collected when i was a kid. There is just something magical about simple glossy knights!
What good little Jewish boy from Massachusetts doesn't have a Santa collection??????
These are both from K&C. Santa and his Globe and the Napoleonic Santa
Here are some of the newer musketeers from the PnM collection. I think these came out great! Props to K&C on this release!
This the K&C set of the Three Musketeers. I think recently K&C has been doing amazing work. I am just finding the sculpts have reached a new level for them and can't wait to see what's in store for this range
This is the maid from the NAP range by K&C. I don't collect NAPs, but I figured this is a very useful figure for any number of groupings
This next grouping is from The Lance series from Blackhawk. My plan is to use these as the focal point for my medieval market diorama that I've been working on (pics to come). I am thinking that they will either be on their way for the Crusade or on their way home. I might need to add some dirt if they are on their way home!
This is Wm. Hocker's The American Century. I just love these little glossies. If a toy soldier can be "charming", Wm. Hocker wins the prize on making them in my opinion!
Now we move on to Beau Geste Delhi Durbar figures. also amazingly charming in my book! I am so in love with what Ana is doing for this line. I always have to thank Pat Wade for opening my eyes to the magical world that is Beau Geste Durbar. Somehow these figures are all so simple, yet complex at the same time.
This first group is the Palaquin of the Maharajah of Jodhpur. I haven't found much about the set, but it was supposedly a special commission. I also have yet to figure out a way for the attendants to hold the palaquin. I don't think they can, but I love it none the less!
and this next one is the Travancore elephant (#200)
