Zach's Collection (1 Viewer)

I could not wait until Windsor Hall hit this thread. Very nice. This should now be your second diorama from David, after the CASTLE.

The second and definitely not the last!

Once the bank account regrows, we'll see what David thinks about 1948 Israel!

I don't collect 1/6 scale at all, but when I saw this, it was a must purchase for me as I love IDF figures!
It is an IDF soldier from the Givati Brigade made by D&K Workshop. The detail and all of the accessories are astounding. These pictures show just some of the different "outfits" and accessories he comes with.

What is the bag like thing on his head? Is it like a sniper covering?

It's called a Mitznefet...

The Mitznefet (Hebrew מִצְנֶפֶת) is a helmet covering for the infantry helmet used by the Israeli Defense Forces as of 1994. It is considerably larger than the helmet, giving the impression of a militarised chef's hat. The purpose of the floppy helmet cover is to break up the distinctive outline of a helmeted head and thus assist in the camouflage of the wearer. It was originally adapted in the 1990s for guerrilla warfare in the wood and bush land of south Lebanon, later adding a two sided camo, one for desert and one for woodland terrain. The Mitznefet is easily removable, and can be attached to the helmet while folded.

And now for the additions from the Chicago show...

These are the prototype figures for the new frontier women being produced by John Jenkins. They are stunningly detailed and I can't wait to see the painted production version.

King & Country's "Shannon" Figure. This is a no brainer purchase...to have a figure memorializing such a wonderful person is a must

Empress Josephine from Sineus / St. Petersburg Collection #3506
I found it odd that she had a round base, but upon checking with Thor of Aeroart, she is legit

Trophy Fur Trapper Set. I'll wait for Brad or Martyn to tell me if it's real and complete. I wasn't sure, but liked it regardless

Some cool pickups. Really like the Lead Army set.

The Trapper set looks complete to me.

Where did you get those Legos. Love the Rabbi!

Thanks Brad!

The legos are all from jbrick.com
(warning - crazy prices for little lego sets, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do!) {sm3}

I looked at their site. Who would a thought you could have a business like that but I can see it!

That is a fantastic figure !

Thank you for posting.

that's right...he collects First Legion even if they don't have a flag! I had no intention of purchasing this at all. I don't have any tanks, nor do I collect Vietnam, but when i saw this in Chicago I had to have it. Proof that seeing things in person is very important sometimes. I know people use Honor Bound and maybe Figarti as the AFV benchmark, but holy cow - if you haven't seen this in person, you're missing out! The detail in amazing and the weathering looks completely real! I am so pleased with this (if you can't tell)!

The first pictures are US 25th Infantry Division Sitting Reading Magazine from First Legion #VN023
Just like the tank, the detail here is stunning as well. It'd be odd to see a figure like this made by a Russian studio, but if I had never seen it before and you told me it was a Russian piece, I'd have no reason to doubt it. First Legion knocked it out of the park here!
