Alex...

Nice work. I have plenty of pics of Anneliese from one of the crew who served in her at the time. Which references are you using for the repaint/conversion?
Cheers

I am using several sources, but I am seeing different number colors.

All Black

Black Outline

Red with Black Outline

Can you shed light on this.

I also dont want to do a heavy wash I want some of the camo to bleed through.

Pics would be appreciated to, I have some but maybe you have something I don't Alex

Also thanks for your comments men.

Alex...

I can indeed when fully whitewashed this AFV had the markings painted on afterwards in solid black for easy recognition. The original markings were left on under the coat of wash. I don't off hand remember the colour way for the marking but, will have a look at what I have. That came from survivors of the unit that I interviewed a number of years back. That sticks in the mind as I have done a couple of these repaints in complete white wash. I have a number of pictures that have not been published that have come from veterans either copied or, kindly given to me after months and years of contact. so, it depends on what coat of white wash you place further on the AFV. as it stands I would not place them in solid black.

I think the original numbers were red with the black outline. That is what I would like to go with. The finish I would like is with the whitewash wearing off showing the original numbers and some of the original camo.

Thanks
Alex

I have been threatening to start reworking a TCS piece for a long time. With the workload of Battle Scene Productions behind me I am finally getting to projects I had planned.

As I stated one of my combinaions will be TGM figures with TCS AFV's, This will be Tiger 314 "Anneliese" in Hungary 1945. Which I will mate with TGM figures in a scene.

So far I gave the Tiger a dark wash to get rid of the "Pastel" look and then a whitewash. The sides of the turret have nothing done yet as I have to put on the decals. I will hand paint "Anneliese" on the gun.

As you can see fender panels were removed and the gaps filled and rusted. Some panels were made to look like they were damaged.

There is much more to be done I will keep you posted. Alex

Beautiful Detail{bravo}}...can't wait to see the finished product.

Moving along

I drilled out the lift rings on the turret

Applied decals

More washing and other paint details

This is my depiction of the tank around March 1945 where the whitewash would be wearing off a bit.

Still more to go.

Thank you very much...Just to clarify this tank served with the 503rd in Hungary it was one of only two Porsche Turret Tigers that survived in this Battlaion from Normandy.

I actually should have started a new thread for this. This tank will eventually be put in a scene.

I am planning 2 Bulge Tigers, A Berlin Tiger and another 503rd Tiger from Normandy

Alex,

It`s brilliant, hard to believe this "was" a CS Tiger!! Looks indeed a prize winning 1/35 plastic model kit! {bravo}}

Thank you

I will be kicking off an new website shortly it will be called Battleground Art. I will invite all of you to take part in this, who believe we can take this hobby to even higher levels in the areas of scale, detail and overall presentation.

Many have tried to diffuse my dream, but I will keep pushing on.

I saw brilliance in CS products, they somehow are a tremendous base for doing this type of work.

Now that I am on my own I will do things I have been waiting to do for a long time. Alex

Great customization on the CS Porsche Tiger Alex. Truly the work of a craftsman. CS makes some great tanks and with some additional work like this, they can look even better.{bravo}}

Firebat, excellent work. Your tank looks amazing.

Any chance you take commissions for those less talented who cannot replicate your work?

Why doesn't my Tiger look like this? After all, it is the same model. Superb job. -- Al
