Things that annoy me (4 Viewers)

Once again, celebrities are threatening to leave the USA.................................latest is Angelina Jolie. Seriously, Why do they think the Average American or for that matter any citizen of any Country cares where they live?!?!?! If you are so upset, then go to the voting booth like everyone else , or campaign for office on your own. Do something productive rather than waste airspace, webspace, etc.

I can't even post Ruffalo's rant but he said the USA is heading towards becoming the Taliban........................can't make it up what people say can you.

Jimmy Kimmel is back. And I thought the free world had come to an end with his suspension. Democracy was also over. The First Amendment trampled. That's what I heard for the last week from the talking heads. Also we are supposed to now "question the science" on the information provided today about Autism. Don't just accept the word of the government they are saying on CNN, but I thought that was verboten during COVID.

I have noticed that I am becoming fatigued by so many things as I get older or is it I'm just fed up with tolerating the intolerant 🤔

My wife gives me the stink eye when I comment about certain things because it is for the most part negative. I am 79 years old and seen enough of life that in fact most of what you see and hear in the media is pure bull---. It does not reflect real life. Take commercials for example. They will show 4 guys playing pick up basketball, a white, black, asian, and latin guy. Just having the time of their life, high fiving it etc. In reality you will never see that. Are the attorney advertisements where they will have a REAL client who just praises the law firm stating they treat you like family and look out for you. No they don't if they didn't think they could make a nice bundle of money for THEM on your case they wouldn't give you the time of day. The one thing I will say is a positive you see more and more people both black and white that speak out against always using the race card to explain why something happened.

I have friends in California who constantly threaten to leave, they are not going anywhere.

They visit Texas and ask “is it always this hot?” then I tell them no, it gets in the 20’s and lower in the winter, it is nice about 30 days a year.

Then they ask a year or a month?

Once they realize it is a year they leave and Ca is paradise again no matter who is in charge.
 
Returned to Amsterdam after 35+ yrs and again visited the Rijksmuseum only to find scaffolding across the Night Watch for restoration.

Seems to be wherever you go, there's something or other that are on must see lists, that's always under wraps for whatever reason, same as where as pre 9/11 few public places, whether they be an Airport, Train station etc were there bollards and other such impediments everywhere you go because of the ride in terrorism.
 
Media references to someone called "Bad Bunny." I almost couldn't believe this is a real thing. This guy must fall over laughing at his fame. I had never heard of him. Apparently, he will be performing at the Super Bowl. Can't wait for that. His photo reminds me a lot of the parody rap character Ali G.

My understanding is that he does not sing in English, I guess the NFL is going after Latin American market.
 
Little noted story recently that a police detective dressed in tactical gear managed to join Trump's security detail to get himself into the Ryder Cup. Wow. Imagine that the secret service allowed someone dressed up as a security person to join the presidential detail. Thankfully this nut apparently didn't have any agenda except to watch the golf tournament.

More precisely, imagine that it happened during Trump's administration, when the incompetence of the past 4 years was supposed to have been corrected. The lapse is akin to the poor procedure that let a sniper climb to a roof on a farm show building and take a shot at a presidential candidate.

It runs a little deeper than that, this guy claims he hates America and would never perform here, money talks, BS walks, it's all about the NFL going woke, Jay Z picks the halftime talent for the Super Bowl, which explains why it's been awhile since a fossil band/mainstream act did the show, he's tight with Obama.

Enough said.
 
Cowardly attacks on places of worship and on those within......this latest one in Manchester is only going to inflame a very tense situation even further.....

Yeah that was a bummer when I was there in July as well.....plus the crowd of people in the way....I stood in the back of the room to honestly get any sort of view of it!
