Things that annoy me (5 Viewers)

Self checkout lanes. I realize many people prefer these but it is a source of torment to anyone over 50. My wife can operate the thing like she invented it but I wouldn't have a clue. And how does this save the store any money since there is always an employee standing there when it doesn't work or at least ensure no one is stealing. Why not let that person ring up the stuff to begin with?
The clerk is there to help people like me that get an error msg.
BTW, are you the guy I stand behind writing a paper check in the check out line?

I prefer to think of my checking out at a register manned by a real live person as helping to provide job security for him or her ..... rather than the real reason being that I'm old fart of a technological dinosaur who undoubtably end up being bailed out by the attendant at the self-checkout lanes. So, now that I think of it, I guess I would also be providing job security for him or her too!:oops:

I'm even more old school and usually pay in cash. I also hate using the debit cards as almost every machine works somewhat differently. If it is an expensive item, my wife knows better how to work the self-checkout and debit cards than the people who invented them. I just carry the stuff.

Thankful we have Second Amendment rights.

A British IT consultant says he lived through a dystopian nightmare after being arrested for posting photos of himself holding firearms during a trip to the United States. People in the UK filed complaints with the police after feeling threatened.

Most likely Muslims that were more afraid of the Cross he wears....The Crusaders are Coming 🤣

Annoying - People who wait til the last minute to order something they need right away. Then they make it your problem when you indicate that you are not sure or positive if it will make it in time. Then after that comment, they ask for the cheapest shipping option possible, then they inquire why you don't offer free shipping..................... With our US Inept Postal Service Timelines, do you think anything is guaranteed????

I really truly believe that a good portion of this planet is below the IQ of a Sloth or a Bony Eared-A$$fish (google it, you know you want to).

Not the planet, Tom, but the West, including our society. And I don't think they're stupid. They're immature, childish, stuck in an emotional adolescence. Inconsiderate in the literal sense of the word-they don't think. They don't think about how what they do impacts others around them, only about what they want. Self-responsibility is no longer a value for a majority of people in our society.

Prost!

Those dreary winter days when it doesn't snow but there is an overcast, grey sky that can last for several days. It seems like we've had a lot of those this winter and last. Compounded by it being full dark by about 5PM. I'm not sure how they do it in places like Iceland.

Reality shows, especially celebrate reality shows, and a special place in hell for those ‘celebrities’ who appear in a celebrate reality show and they are only in that show as a ‘celebrate’ because they originally appeared in another reality show. Most are talentless air wasters.

The Kardashians – needs no explanation.

Why do they think we care about famous people’s children, who cares if the Beckhams are having a family tiff and have fallen out with their son.

Newspapers and websites who put out photos of actors/actresses, sports people, musicians, etc who are now in their 50s and beyond and then write with shock and horror they have let themselves go if they have put on weight, got a few wrinkles and/or lost their hair. What do they expect?

I am not sure on that, you have valid points, but I still question the average IQ!

In Missouri they have passed a law in regards to SNAP, the food stamp program. That it can no longer be used to purchase certain food items such as candy, things of that nature. So they interview at a "food bank" some woman that makes obese people look thin. She is loading her bag with the free food and tells the reporter how wrong it was to prohibit the SNAP program to limit what she can get. She said sometimes I need candy for my diabetes. This woman had to weigh 350 pounds minimum. And all men are created equal! BS.

Attack at Brown Univ. and a horrific attack on Jews in Australia. People in Western countries may not realize it but we are at war and if countries keep being timid, afraid to hurt someone's feelings we are going to lose.
Mark
I agree Mark, unfortunately many people are still asleep about the danger or in denial, they think other cultures think the same way, have the same morals, have the same attitude to lives being precious and for many cultures this holds true and is able to get along together, but for one this does not.
Used to be there were few terrorist attacks, but now with so many radicalised from that group, they are almost a daily occurrence, not to mention the number of attacks on women sky high and yet they sleep on.

The director who stole $11 million from Netflix and spent nearly $700k on two mattresses. What kind of mattresses do you get for $700K? He spent another $200K on "bedding."

A few yrs ago there was an Islamic terrorist attack at a community college in California. Shortly thereafter my wife's employer, she's a contractor for state gov't, held an all hands meeting. The subject was not workplace safety or security but "there better not be any reactions by the workforce to that." Read between the lines. Similar to the Manchester, UK police chief's sympathy was not with the victims of the concert attack but only concerned with a backlash.

Yep !
Why oh why do people not want to open their eyes to the facts that before mass immigration from those parts of the World, there was by comparison very little in the way of terrorism here in the west, be it foreign or domestic.
There was no need for anti terrorism defences at Airports, train stations etc in the form of bollards.
The inconvenience is that you face when travelling by air, such as body scanners, the x racing of your luggage, the banning of liquids etc etc, we are indeed so tolerant in being walked all over and bit by bit having our freedoms removed.
Of course many Western women felt pity and empathy for those less fortunate. Soaring S. Assault crimes, have been the result.
And people turn away when it's happening to Jews, thinking if they do, they won't be next !
That cult is not stopping for anyone with their goal, and is quite happy to use the left etc, as they did in Iran, only for them to become the first victims when they gained power.
Some may think. Oh they're an atheist and everything is fine because this is of no concern of theirs not believing in any God. But to them, they are even lower than the Christian. Look into things yourselves, you may not feel so comfortable afterwards though.

I think the man who disarmed the terrorist was a muslim.

The keystone cops who hold press conferences patting each other on the back and telling the public that there is nothing to be concerned about even though a mad dog serial killer is on the loose. Nothing to see there.

Yes he was and a very brave man he is too to have done that, but there are so many who support them in that community.

Reading about it, there were some quotes from family and friends, with one saying he had acted without knowing before hand who they were, and that's quite telling.

Horus,

Do you read through your messages before you post or just post away? Because that is a pretty awful implication you are making.

You seem to be hinting that if he had known they were muslim fundamentalists he would not have acted. That's a big claim to make about someone who acted very bravely and was wounded whilst doing so.

Really, in that instant when things happen, how could he have known their background? He just did the right thing.

Leave it at that.

Scott
