Things that annoy me (5 Viewers)

Self checkout lanes. I realize many people prefer these but it is a source of torment to anyone over 50. My wife can operate the thing like she invented it but I wouldn't have a clue. And how does this save the store any money since there is always an employee standing there when it doesn't work or at least ensure no one is stealing. Why not let that person ring up the stuff to begin with?
The clerk is there to help people like me that get an error msg.
BTW, are you the guy I stand behind writing a paper check in the check out line?

I prefer to think of my checking out at a register manned by a real live person as helping to provide job security for him or her ..... rather than the real reason being that I'm old fart of a technological dinosaur who undoubtably end up being bailed out by the attendant at the self-checkout lanes. So, now that I think of it, I guess I would also be providing job security for him or her too!:oops:

I'm even more old school and usually pay in cash. I also hate using the debit cards as almost every machine works somewhat differently. If it is an expensive item, my wife knows better how to work the self-checkout and debit cards than the people who invented them. I just carry the stuff.

Thankful we have Second Amendment rights.

A British IT consultant says he lived through a dystopian nightmare after being arrested for posting photos of himself holding firearms during a trip to the United States. People in the UK filed complaints with the police after feeling threatened.
