The Oscars.

Against my better judgement I watched a highlight clip on YouTube, shut it off after about 20 seconds.

What a bunch of virtue signaling morons Hollywood has become.

Since 2009/The Hurt Locker, the only movie I've seen that won best picture was 2018's Green Book, imagine the winner last night glorifies domestic terrorism.

I hope the ratings last night were a dumpster fire.

Did you expect any different? You are illuminating the definition of insanity..........doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result! That is what Hollywood has become to me.

The movie they gave all the awards to IMO was a terrible movie and not just because of subject. I found it to be ad nauseum and just not entertaining. I guess that is what makes an award winner in their eyes.

I think this is not correct. We in Europe have been on your side in Korea, the Balkans, Iraq, Afghanistan. Of course no country here has the power to do the things the US does, rightly or wrongly. But you have a point here: the US under this administration is not a reliable ally anymore (v g. Greenland issue) and it's time we face it, our interests, values and world views are different from this administration's, it's time we get our act together and step up our autonomy (for instance buying a lot more American weapons...

As for the nuclear submarines Australia wants to buy, I doubt this deal will be good. It will cost us a fortune and we will be screwed by our one time ally. We would be better putting a lot of investment into an Australian company I read about building missiles. Build two bases in the north of the country, one on each coast. Greg.

The AUKUS Nuclear Submarine Agreement is a complete waste of money, the US won't part with any of their submarines on a permanent basis. In any case, Surface vessels, Aircraft, Missiles, Drones etc are more effective at Defence considering our extensive continental shelves, Nuclear submarines are more suitable for Balistic Deterent/Attack purposes.
