I received this message from WW2 and in our discussion we have decided to bring it to the forum for answers and to help others too. This is our conversation.
WW2: I notice that you have the kc winter tiger also. I recently discover that in mine the gun droops down a little and doesn't stay horizontal, unlike my Kursk or snow tiger. I wonder if yours is same or there is a problem with mine.
Thanks, Regards,
Thomas
Bayern: Do you mind if we put this on the forum for others to read as I have the problem and some ideas on why it happens. Others could benefit too.
WW2: Sure no problem. I pm Wayne also, and he kindly replied echoing the same issue. It might just be a problem with the older versions of kc tiger tanks, as this problem was clearly solved in the case of Kursk and snow tigers, etc.
I'm actually going to visit the kc museum in hong kong next week and see if the same problem is present in their winter tiger collection.
Keep you posted....
Thomas, I have this same problem with all of my KC tanks except my Winter Tiger and short stubby barrel Panzer IV Afrika model. I do not have any real new tank releases so the problem may be resolved. However, I bought for a song a broken long barrel Panzer awhile back and discovered the design problem was that the spring in the barrel was too small/ weak. I found a larger spring out of a pen believe it or not and it worked. However, you cannot do this on a new one, or you would have to break it apart to get in there.
Hope this helps. Anyone else got any ideas?
Ludwig
