Zulu gun limber (1 Viewer)

Thanks for the tease Robin which lead me to your time on my hands Zulu War photo dioramas which have been a site to behold. Thanks for creating and sharing them with us..........Joe

Having lots of fun today posing the limber after waiting a year for it to arrive. It has come to an end now Joe as you will see in my diorama thread, it overturned and smashed, such is war, cheers, Robin.

That is a very nice set. some great pics of it also

Here it is lads and I couldn't be more pleased !!! Another great release from WBritain, the detail is amazing and I am so glad they added the extra base for the gun. Thought I would share these photos over here as well.

I am glad that Britains went this route for the base and I am looking to pick up my set this weekend. But it should be noted that other TS manufacturers have gone the other route without a base under the artilery piece (or just doing the carriage) but I think Britains made the right call in the end....

Can see you are pleased Scott. Just my perference, but like the rear gun base around the incorrect way. For me, slightly better fit and the wheel ruts continue on from one base to the other giving to my eye a more continued line. When not using the gun, the base can be moved to the front and slide under the 2 front horses hooves, just for fun. Nice to know yours is all present and correct, cheers, Robin.

I have to agree with you. It just finishes the set off nicely.

This had to be my favourite WB piece, so detailed just love it. See what you mean about the wheels ruts Robin does make sense, although gun tends to slip when I do that (at least my set does).

This is a magnificant set. Now I can hardly wait for the ACW limbers coming this yr! :smile2: Chris

No I don't as such, but as you say a nice piece (and due to the pressure that my fellow forum members have put me under with their photos! :rolleyes2: ) I knew it would make a fine purchase. I may even get a few more artillery themed sets to go with it. {eek3}

Jeff

Btw, those figures I got you are so nice I've kept them for myself and sent you some Lego instead! :tongue:^&grin
