  • Good to see kids interested in the culinary arts and a family willing to be guinea pigs!! Family members are the toughest critics - especially siblings. Of course, he could bypass the family and invite the cheerleading team instead:)
I doubt CD is closing. Besides being a racing icon, the owner just paid $138 million in cash for another casino in Mississippi. I heard they closed the winter training facilities for this year but I don't think it was heavily used.
Yes it is a pretty interesting event for the racing world and not as well known or followed by those with only casual interest in horse racing.

I don't know since I don't follow racing myself very closing. I assume you mean Manor Downs and I understand that like many tracks, they just didn't have the volume they used to. I will ask my ex-racing handicapper neighbor down the street.
:D LOL! Perhaps we should talk about this over a cup of tea and a scone in Boston Harbour!!.

    Cheers mate

Yes I did Chris. She is a super race horse. As I am sure you heard, mares seldom run well against the boys but she put in an amazing run. When they have that style it is easy to have things go wrong with traffic and the need to swing outside to get clear, as was the case here but she certainly has the speed. Pretty thrilling to see.
At the moment, I've got them as just stand alone on a shelf with other assorted figures. I'm hoping the new 2006 Brit Infantry figure due out soon, will compliment the earlier release. With regards to the Falklands, I'm trying to get hold of some unpainted castings of some Royal Marines and inflatable that Tarrent Toy Soldiers have done. He sells them painted in gloss, but I want to get them unpainted so I can match up in style with the Britains pieces, then I can do a nice little amphibious landing scene.
Also got the Britains SAS figure, and one or two others from different companies. Not enough to storm an embassy yet though....
BTW, just thought I'd let you be the first to know, managed to get hold of one of them there SF03 door wedges last week. Only been looking for one for 4 or 5 years, so my Holy Grail has at last been located!
No mate, good old fashioned British barmaids. Apart from the fact that they are depressingly young enough to be most of our daughters. And are usually from France, Poland, Lithuania etc.
Promise to try and take photos this time (before I get too intoxicated to work the camera). Purely for educational purposes you understand. :p
    Hi,
Any chance of any of you having come across TAW Artillery sets or TAW and CJB Model vehicles?
In case you do, please let me know.
