Anyone else watching this? Great series. I would put it up there with Firefly. I like all the cast and grew up on Jason and the Golden Fleece and Sinbad...and Gamera guess that explains a lot:) Check it out if you have a chance.
I have only memories of this movie in my head.....but it must be public domain because you can watch it for free on You Tube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QdWceWizJ4&feature=related It's so funny how much make up Walken wears
Agree, The only victims were the people shot. Do not care if he had a hard upbringing if his Dad beat him. What drove him to this? Do not care. I do not own gun and have never shot one but I can already see the backlash coming.
Do not know if anyone has caught this yet. BBC Program
Stars Christopher Eccleston (Dr. Who) and Moriarty from the Sherlock series in a smaller role.

I can't wait either. Though I have read a number of interviews with Ridley Scott saying that while it exists in the same universe it is not a direct lead in to the Alien films. I hope he is just playing his cards close to his chest.
Aliens is one of my favorite movies especially for the Tech...
Don't usually post about music because it is a personal thing but these guys are really good

Thought this was a really good movie. Great take on what if you got super powers. Thought it did not need the handy cam treatment and would of been fine as a standard film...didn't need the gimmik. Anyway if you get a chance check it out second only to "Super" IMO as an off kilter super hero flick.
Wonder if anyone else watched / is watching Dirk Gently. I live in the states so I usually catch BBC programming a little late.
I was on the fence with the first episode but really liked the Second, much tighter and I liked the Sci-FI elements. I also love Darren Boyd as a comic strait man.

I have never hated so may characters in one show (in a good way).
I caught it a while back and liked it. I was expecting something much lighter and like you said it went very Dark. Ellen Paige's character turns out to be Bat Sh*& crazy. If you like dark indie comedies I think it's good.
I just watched the first half and it's good. Very true dry documentary. It takes place in the earlier part of the war where the Taliban are still being pushed out.
I would also recommend "Restrepo" and "Fighting on the front line"
Every review I have read has been very positive on the series. I've been meaning to check it out. Maybe after a few of my series wrap up I'll catch up with it. I like Damien Lewis as well.
It was (is?) a play as well in London's West End. The way they used these huge anamatronic puppets for the Horses and tanks was incredible.

They will have to handle the deaths of the horses carefully.
