2013 Ashes (1 Viewer)

Hey Rob

Not sure that your lot out played us in the first game as either team could have won it. The second game your lot definitely smashed us but we were the better team in the last game. As Wayne (WA) sez, congrat's English summer! {sm4}

Tom

But we did mate:wink2:

I'm only ragging on you guys, not often we win three Ashes on the trot so you gotta give us a bit of credit, I'm sure come December it'll all be on again.:salute::

Well this game has at least started following the script that the ACB (now Cricket Australia) would've had in mind. The next page should have Warner getting 100 of 90 balls, kicking us off to a lead of 250.

Well this current test seems to be quite evenly poised. Broad is doing quite well. Can the Australian batsmen steady the ship

"Can the Australian batsmen steady the ship"

At 84-4 it's not looking so good.....

Does this Durham ground favour the bowlers a bit?

Do not give up - Watson hasn't got his thirty yet!

Yes they can,on our way to a 1st innings lead...................:salute::

Sorry thinking of the wrong page, this is the one where the old professional plays a doughty hand in very difficult conditions. Also that Watson would almost win us over... but in the end leave still leave us wondering (pretty happy to take that 60 odd though!) Who'd of thought that batting conditions would be trickier on day two..... Maybe the excellent Broad just made it look that way?

Jack, are you home yet?

Yes ... home from a very chilly Canberra. Off to London in three weeks though!

Bell is only the fourth English player to get three centuries in a home ashes series, he really is in fine form. Australia have played much better in this game, hats off to them.

Rob

What a great test. Looking forward to seeing what today brings it could go either way

Yes, this has been a great game so far! The advantage has swung backwards and forwards and now it's set up beautifully. Chasing 300 is on the unlikely side but it's been so good to see such a tight game to this point.

I am concerned that going either way might mean either that England wins or Australia loses!

Marty, when I need some positive energy I know who to call!!! {sm4}
