English Summer Looks To Ruin Another Game We Had A Chance Off Winning......
It has been a strange series. Twenty years from now people will read the scorecards and it will appear that two reasonably evenly matched teams slugged it out and the one that was slightly better or luckier emerged the winner. Yet those of us who have watched it will probably feel that in reality things were quite different. I cannot remember a series in which one side played so poorly yet in threeTests out of four entered the last few sessions with a realistic chance of winning. It is a strange game but at the end of the day England have won 3-0 and have done it with neutral umpires and a DRS system that was the same for both sides. Again though, it is possible for someone to say that the scoreline flatters England but just as possible for the person beside him to say the same about Australia. Very odd. I would not be surprised to see us reclaim the Ashes in Australia 3 - 0 but would be equally unsurprised to lose by the same margin. The concern is that the guys playing are indeed our best team. The cupboard is quite bare.
Mate i did say "Looks" was p****** down when i went to bed, well done(cough choke spew)ENGLAND on another win..................:smile2:
The problem with the team is its full of ALL Eastern states players..........................
Young Shaun Marsh should be at 3,his brother should be our all rounder (He won't break down every 3rd test) and Adam Voges should be in as well.
Why did bird play,Mitch Johnson would of been better than him.
If Smith Doesn't bowl why does he play he isn't just a batsmen..........................^&confuse^&confuse
"What happens if the Windies ever reach greatness again"
I don't think this will ever happen. The population is just too small and the islands/countries don't really get on. The culture has also shifted to reflect the US rather than the colonial father. The Windies became great because a lot of players sharpened their games in England. They also got lucky with an extroadinary generation of stars.
Australia has let its focus slip badly over the last few years. Twenty20 and cashed up football codes will make it ever harder to get and properly develop sufficient Test players.
Double or nothing ENGLAND...................^&grin
Im off for the week mate so i can stay up and watch the whole test.........................^&grin
What a great start! Well I'm off to bed and following the other games, I have no idea how things will stand at stumps.
For Watson to be remembered as a TEST cricketer, he needs a double-hundred today.
