2017 Baseball Season: Let's Play Two! (2 Viewers)

Red Sox beat the MFY's tonight 5-4, Kimbrel comes in for the four out save, punches out the all four of them including Quasimodo to end it.

Red Sox hit three absolute bombs off of Tanaka, he had two pitches working for him tonight, balls and home runs.

The one Moreland hit just landed in Sammy's back yard.............................one game out of first, thank you very much.

Let's go Sox!!...😄

You know, it's funny about #99 in New York, Quasimodo. He was a nothing prospect coming up through the MFY farm system, then he gets to the big club and now he's hitting balls five miles.

He must be on the same training regimen that Clemens, Petite, Giambi and A-Roid were all on when they played for the MFY's.

Matter of fact, I'd bet my life on it; the guy is 6'7" and 282 pounds?

Come on; pull this leg and it plays jingle bells..................................

Don't be so judge-mental!

The "Judge's chamber" section is peachy keen; considering most of the people sitting there have done prison time, you know the old saying, "If the shoe fits".............................

O's come back with back to back homers in the 8th (I think it was) and Shoop had two for the game. :smile2: O's beat the Pirates in the 10th and are 8-1 in extra innings games. :p Chris

The O's do have some sort 'death punch' thing going in extra innings. The extra inning record has been their saving grace this season. Without the OT magic, they would be under .500. -- Al

Good one going in LA. Nats and Strasburg lead LA and Kershaw 1-0 after 5. Very even game. Both pitchers have fanned 7 and the only run is Zimmerman's 17th Hr of the year. -- Al

Naturally, I jinxed the Nats. 2-1 LA, after 6. -- Al

Al:

That game was exactly what I expected, 2 of the best pitchers in the game with a 2-1 finish. I thought the Nats had them when they had a man on third in the 8th but it just didn't happen.

Oh well, taking 2 out of 3 from the Dodgers is not bad.

True enough. 2 of 3 will get it done but it gets frustrating sometimes when they mess up basic baseball. You should score the man on third with no outs by accident if your team is good, but the Nats have baserunning troubles and have lost many baserunners through bad basics. This time it cost them. Still, I'll take the 7-2 road trip and go home happy.:wink2: -- Al

I see the O's are scrapping the barrel for pitching as they have called up Edwin Jackson, a long time journeyman pitcher with a 93-114 lifetime record and an unimpressive 4.65 lifetime ERA. Nats had him one year (2012) and he was 10-11 as a #5 starter with a 4.03 ERA. He was the only starting pitcher on that team with a losing record and a 4+ ERA. He was gone after 1 year. He was a disaster in his recent stint with the Cubs. Hope he does better with the O's. -- Al

Sure is tough to kill the Baltimore Vampires. Think you have driven the stake in and all you need is 3 outs to win it but that is proving to be very difficult against the Undead O's who keep rising from the grave in the bottom of the 9th to gain new life. Sure makes giving up and going to bed before the final out a bad bet. -- Al

The Mancini Death Punch (Part 2) dooms the Pirates in OT as the O's win it 9-6 in 11. This team sure is entertaining, if nothing else. -- Al
