2018 Baseball season (2 Viewers)

LA pulls even by beating up the Brewer's pen late, for the second game in a row. Astros take the opener 7-2, but Boston was close until the 9th. Boston put 14 free baserunners on in the game and the Astros finally took advantage in the 9th. Price starts for Boston in Game #2 and he needs to come up big. -- Al

Price sucks. Boston jumps out on top, giving Price a 2-0 lead and the bum gives it right back. All tied at 2 now. -- Al

Price continues with his post-season choke jobs and now has the Sox in a 4-2 hole. Just can't give this guy the ball as a starter. -- Al

Well, the Sox pulled Price before he could blow another lead and the bullpen nailed down the win, but Kimbrel made it interesting, again. -- Al

Hallelujah somebody finally beats Houston in the post season. TBS sounds so bummed out; if they're not ballwashing the gashouse gorillas, they're ballwashing the Astros.

We get it, the Yankees are a very good team, the Astros are a very good team and are the defending champions; the Red Sox won 108 games this year, I thought by the sound of things they were the first team in MLB playoff history to be eliminated 1 game to 1.

We're on to Houston.

George...

Houston is no big deal at home...
a way better road team...

their road record is 57-24...
the same as Boston's home record...

but at home...
they are a paltry 46-35...
11 games over 500...

a much better road team...

I can't recall VL and Cole pitching so bad all year as those first 2 games...

I bet you were flipping channels like a mad man last night trying to watch the Pats and the Red Sox at the same time...
I was...^&grin

I'll defer to you on this Mike, they have a solid line up top to bottom, what an annoying pain in the *** that Springer is, he's always on base.

We had two TV's going at my friends house, plus the ball game started an hour and half earlier than SNF.

I told my friend as far as the football game "Last team with the ball wins"...…...I knew the Chefs were screwed when they scored that TD on one play and left 3:00 minutes on the clock, too much time for Brady and company.

With Gronk, Gordon, Hogan/Dorsett, Edelman in the slot and White/Michel in the backfield, who can stop that team, especially with the way the rules are these days, 83 points, I am sure anyone who took the Patriots and the over did well, the Patriots were 3.5 home dogs, right?

George...

they were -3...
it was a tie...
that I was glad to get after Mahomes hit that 75 yard TD to Hill...
with 3 minutes left...

you're right about the scoring favoring the offense...
even the Cowboys hung 40 on Jacksonville...
who saw that coming?

good luck in Game 3...

After winning the Super Bowl vs the Patriots in week two, Jacksonville has been a tire fire.

And speaking of tire fires, those uniforms they wore yesterday vs Dallas were God awful.

Bet on Cincinnati next week vs the Chefs; teams that lose to the Patriots usually play like hot garbage the following week.

The Chefs have a very good offense, but that defense...…………..wow, it's terrible.

George...
it's hard to have both a good defense and offense...
when Pro Bowl offensive lineman...
and elite defensive corners and elite pass rushers eat up all the cap...
a couple of 3 players can get the lion's share of the money...
most teams are lucky to have one or the other...

I hope that wasn't you that threw that beer on Tyreek hill last night...
that guy is in BIG TROUBLE...^&grin...
they are going after him hard...
that guy needs to be prosecuted...
he's an embarrassment to the fan nation of all teams...
I wouldn't even want to sit next to him...

Absolutely classless, he needs to be prosecuted for sure.

Not sure if you saw the ninth inning of the RS/Yankees series, they showed Kimbrel walking out of the bullpen, two NYPD officers were flanking him looking up and some rocket scientist still threw a full can of beer at him, it landed a few feet away from him, Kimbrel didn't even look up and just kept walking.

Some fans are something else...……………..

a full can of beer can kill somebody...utterly stupid...hope they got the guy and he went to jail...

This story made the news tonight; they found the guy, 21 years old, he lost his tickets and has been banned from the stadium, Foxboro police are going to press charges, he'll have a police record now.

Really, really stupid throwing a full beer at someone......not to mention a waste of 42.00.

he's lucky Hill didn't pull a Ron Artest moment on him...
and gone in the stands to whoop his butt...^&grin
fans gotta learn...
it happens everywhere...
one dumb butt in every crowd...
there's a limit...
I can just imagine standing in front of a judge for that...
hope the judge makes an example of him and all fans everywhere learn from that...
buying a ticket doesn't give you the right to assault the players...

Interesting comment on the MLB network yesterday about the Astros and Red Sox fan bases and how their love for their teams goes beyond baseball. The commentator pointed out how both were instrumental in helping their cities recover after going through heartbreaking situations, the Boston Marathon Bombings and Hurricane Harvey. Not only did the teams get directly involved but both went on to win the World Series in those years.

Pretty cool side note to what has so far been a great ALCS.

People will disagree, but Artest going into the stands and opening up a can of whoop *** was tremendous, looking at those bozos in the stands with their beer muscles from 40 feet away then soil themselves face to face with a player was something to see, a lesson for everyone that like you said, buying a ticket does not give you permission to behave like a *******...…………..

Jason...
if that theory works in football too...
JJ Watts personally raised over 40 million after Hurricane Harvey...

George...

I wouldn't disagree...
in fact the only ones that probably would...
would be Piston's fans...
drunk fans are bolstered with courage when surrounded by friends and some distance between their target...
mob mentality...

what you call "beer muscles" is what I mean when I call someone an Internet bully...
it's easy to say something when you're not face to face...

the guy that actually threw the beer that hit Artest...
he was standing next to the guy that Artest jumped on...
Artest had the wrong guy...

the guy that threw the beer...
he had a long record...burglary...several DUI's...assault...
he was a thug...
got a lifetime ban from the Palace and served some time...

as strange a guy as Metta World was...
they actually became friends after the incident...

I remember Dwight Howard inviting a guy that threw a beer on him to come back to the dressing room...
that guy almost pooped his pants...
