I'm not a Houston Texan's fan...but I do like to watch him wreak havoc on QB's...his brother is following in his foot steps as a terror in the sack department...
George...
I wouldn't disagree...
in fact the only ones that probably would...
would be Piston's fans...
drunk fans are bolstered with courage when surrounded by friends and some distance between their target...
mob mentality...
what you call "beer muscles" is what I mean when I call someone an Internet bully...
it's easy to say something when you're not face to face...
the guy that actually threw the beer that hit Artest...
he was standing next to the guy that Artest jumped on...
Artest had the wrong guy...
the guy that threw the beer...
he had a long record...burglary...several DUI's...assault...
he was a thug...
got a lifetime ban from the Palace and served some time...
as strange a guy as Metta World was...
they actually became friends after the incident...
I remember Dwight Howard inviting a guy that threw a beer on him to come back to the dressing room...
that guy almost pooped his pants...
I gather the Dodgers won last night although I doubt anyone on the east coast saw the ending. 13 innings, something like 16 pitchers, almost six hours long. It must have ended around 2AM. Good grief. I'm pulling for LA-Boston, but I can't see either LA or Milwaukee having much chance against the Red Sox. They are a machine right now. What is the story with the fan behind home plate in Milwaukee wearing the bright orange Marlins shirt? He must be the only Marlins fan who goes to baseball games given their woeful attendance figures.
I made it to 1:45 am but still missed the end. Saw the Machado play where he dragged his foot to cause the collision at first base and it sure looked deliberate to me. Thought it a cheap shot by Machado. Been a terrific series so far but can't make it with the late starts. -- Al

They were discussing some interesting stats last night. The Dodgers had not won a game without hitting a home run since mid-August. There were more strikeouts than hits this season. Lowest batting averages since 1972. A weird year.
Per the Bleacher Report:
"The .248 MLB batting average is the lowest since 1972, the season before the American League instituted the designated hitter, when it was .244."
I certainly noticed more strikeouts this year but I had no idea it was that bad.
The O's Chris Davis accounted for at least half of all the strikeouts!!!!
I'm pessimistic.
At best.
