2019 Baseball season (4 Viewers)

Don't know how this game will end, but it is a worthy Game 7 to this point. Brilliant pitching by Greinke, gutsy pitching by Scherzer, and a 1-run game. Can't think of a better game to decide it all, one way or the other. -- Al

Just when you think you have things in control, it falls apart.

Absolutely unbelievable.

If the Red Sox were playing this team in the WS, I would have caused 50K worth of damage around the house.

What an infuriating team to play against.

Greinke was mowing them down, mowing them down, mowing them down, the Astros kept leaving runners on base, runners on base, runners on base, two swings of the bat and the Nationals take the lead.

I said this up thread earlier; this team is going to win the WS.

Unreal.

Al...

I had company over watching the game...
the first 5 innings...
everybody was FIRED UP!
the house was alive...
happy hollering and screaming...
even the girls were talking trash...^&grin
it got quiet real quick after that...
my last friend just left...
I think we have pretty much conceded the WS...
your Nats are resilient...
they crushed the Astro's bullpen again...

First the Blues, now the Nationals; two long time, downtrodden, sad sack franchises burping and farting their way through their respective seasons get their **** together and win a championship.

Browns fans are absolutely giddy right now.

I don’t think it’s over yet. I just feel there’s something more to happen.

I have the same sick feeling, but I sure hope I'm wrong. We still need 3 outs with our hit or miss bullpen. -- Al

It's not over, Mike. Nats came back, no reason the Astros can't do the same. -- Al

George...
gotta agree with you...
10 left on base is way too many...
it's easy for me to be an armchair coach now that I can look back...
but the Astros should have been more aggressive running/stealing bases...

Brad...
I think that "aided by a generous strike zone" about Grienke was a tad unfair...
hard to belittle his performance tonight...
that is as good as I have seen him...

I wasn't too happy with the home plate umpire's calls myself...
Soto in the 7th was a real bad one...
Correa in the 8th was even worse...
Joe buck commented on both of them...

the other day you said you preferred the human error element...
but now you complain about the umpire...
^&grin
I still want a robot...
:wink2:

I...AM...A...NERVOUS...WRECK...3 more outs to get and they will be the hardest to get in Nats history... -- Al

turn out the lights...
the party's over...
they say that all...
good things must end...

CONGRATULATIONS AL!!!!

couldn't have happened to a better guy...
I'm genuinely happy that if I have to lose...
that it's to you...^&grin

These are two words I never thought I’d be saying a month ago: “Congratulations Al” but Congratulations Al. The impossible dream realized.

Condolences to Mike but his team won it a couple of years ago so it’s not as bad as it may seem.

I guess they’ll be debating lifting Greinke for awhile.

A great win against a great Houston team. It's been 95 years...I'm afraid I can't say anything more except to salute Houston and congratulate the Nats for doing what everyone said couldn't be done. -- Al

Thank you, Brad. It is extremely gratifying, yet rather unbelievable at this moment. -- Al

Al...

I think Rendon...
I cringed every time he came up to bat...

congrats again!!!

what a fantastic run they had...
they seemed destined to win...
they won a Wild Card entry against Milwaukee...
handled LA...a huge favorite...
blitzed Arizona on an 8 game win streak...
won every road game against the Astros...
you had a heck of a wild ride...

with the payroll...
will they be able to keep this team together?

A very big thank you, Mike. You are very gracious and I regret it had to be your team but we can say we beat the best. It was a terrific series and I'm glad our teams were part of it. -- Al
