Vick, I seen Vikeing Raid playset a couple of years ago at OTSN and my take on it was this. There were a few new figures, sort of charector type figures. In my opinion they were much larger in scale than the origional vikeings that were also included in the set. So much so that I did not buy it. From what I remember the one building was fine. But with the difference in figures there really wasn,t a good reason to put out that much money for the set.

The new ones in that set i think were just Resin version's of the vahalla sets which are a little bigger then the older Warlord figures.
The Resin ones are on Ebay for about the same cost as the prepainted sets

Well, he seems to be all over the place again, Zulu's, Zouaves, Magnificent Seven, Wyatt Earp,the Jungle Book or whatever the Gorrillas and hunters are supposed to be, Foreign Legion revisited, Barbarians and who knows what else. They all look great, but getting the stuff produced is a slow matter anyway, when will we see a finished product?

Looks like RC will not be attending OTSN this year. He stated on his web site that he will be attending a show in N.Carolina that weekend.

I tryed this already email phone calls recieved only half an order, I will not be bothering again. Dont think all the issues are quite worked out yet.....???

I've bought a heap of stuff from him , numerous times over the last year ..spartans,vikings, normans, landing craft ..all good..excellent service..quick delivery and all arrived safe and sound..never had any problems ...

All I can say - Is Richard Conte is a fine gentleman and has been very outgoing to this customer.

His product is very good and usually worth the wait. I cleaned out my whole back storage room as part of the larger offensive of turning it into a model room, and opened up a giant tub of plastic of Conte Alamo plastics and could not help but set them up with a BMC hacienda for scenery and when looking at the Mexican soldados I could not help but marvel at how great his plastic is! I for one am willing to wait for his WWII...IMO

No doubt about it, he makes excellent figures. However, it's sure a long time in between thrills.
