Alma Figures Crimean War - Gloss and Matt (1 Viewer)

Well, it looks pretty good. So do please continue with the others.;)

I agree with you Simon : really nice !

 After an intense/serious inspection of the painted braiding I will have to agree with Simon and Michel.
Jeff, you're good to go, please continue :D
Konrad

Looks good to me as well Jeff. :D :D

The QA panel has spoken. Carry on, there's a good chap. :)

Well ok then if you all insist! ;):D not much more to do now just the detail on the flag which is not yet fixed in the right position (it's loose for the photo session) buckles and stuff like that and of course the green bases!

Those look really rather good Jeff.
Another set nailed to perfection. The gold trim on the flag really makes it stand out. Nice one mate.

Another top notch set Jeff. Superb painting. Looking forward to next item on the production line !!!

Thanks Al, I will sell them to you but I don't think Michel will be very happy :D

Great job well done! Let's go into production already :p

Thank you, might be very slow production if I was the sole painter

Jeff

Yo Troopers, I dont have to comment on the excellence of the painting;) all I have to do is look in my cabinet:D. But think its a bit boring dont you think without any Horses, will have to get more Cavalry sent over:rolleyes:.

"YO TROOPERS MOUNT UP". lol.

Bernard.

All the current painted samples are now finished and so I thought Michel would like to see them all together. The Russians are a little out numbered and awaiting their standard bearer.

Really Fantastic work!!!

Thanks for sharing these with us.

Dave
Hi,

I just love Alma Figures, and from when the first maker released them he showed them painted gloss, and these images really show off the fine deatils in the sculpting. Earlier tis year the new Belgian owner, Michel Harlange approached me to paint some figures for him, but using a matt deatiled finish, and so I'd like to share my painting with you. I've only joined the forum this week, so I hope I can get the images up, and thus participate in the discussions.

regards, john

Hello John, welcome to the forum. :)

I have spent many an hour on your site and you have a fantastic collection of figures all the better for having painted them yourself. I'm glad you have posted the photos above as I have just received a Russian Standard Bearer from Michel to complement the Infantry already finished, so at least I have something to go by ;):D

I have said many times on this thread that these Alma figures rank among the best designed, detailed and cast figures available today and certainly make the painting easier.

Looking forward to more photos of your collection.

Regards

Jeff

Ok Jeff,

seeing you asked for it, here are 3 more images.
Coldstream Guards
Green Howards (19th foot)
Sutherland Highlander (93rd foot)

I still ahve the 2 colour sergenats to paint and they will be Green Howards, so hopefully they will be out next month, thats when I have finished 12 x pipers of the Scots Guards for a guy in Canada. this painting keep me busy :)

regards, John

Good stuff John! :)

Just a word of warning though you may have noticed there is a certain member that has an affliction to green paint and so showing too many figures with green facings etc may tip him overboard! :D:D

Really nice to see a matt comparison to the gloss figures I have painted for Michel.

Id like to think that I'm above that.
