And so it begins . . . that is SNOW (3 Viewers)

My son works at Walmart and he couldn’t believe how people were freaking out over a little snow.

An hour north of George, we got about three and now sleet/rain with dropping temps. It’s going to be a $hit show here soon

The flash freeze tonight is going to be pretty bad, sheets of ice unless the surface has been treated, time to load up ice melt...…………...

It will go to below freezing around 2pm, falling under 20 by 8pm.

Looks like Waldoboro has 10" - 12" but drifting makes an exact number tricky.
BUT ... it just started to sleet and rain so the totals will drop.

I HATE :mad: the rain and sleet as it causes icing on the trees, which brings down large limbs that takes out the power. ... <Boo, hiss>

Give me snow but no ice any day.
Forecast is for another 4" - 6" today and tonight.

Perfect day for good books, movies, toy soldiers and napping. ^&grin

Same here, Mike. We were about -2 to -5 with a windchill of -14.
The bigger issue was, the soft and fluffy 14" of snow that came down early turned into 12" of CONCRETE when the sleet started. :mad:

As you shovel it breaks apart into blocks of SOLID ice/snow weighing 2 to 3 tons each! At least that is what it feels like on my back. {sm2}

Hope that air mass is heading to Toronto. I had to go out this morning. The temp was -28C (-9F) which was cold but the high winds gave a windchill of -38C which is brutal. And it felt like -38

Look - I can walk from Toronto Island to downtown

Mate I can't fathom how cold that is, but great pic

Little warmer this morning . . . highs to be in low 20's F. However we did get about 6" of snow last night with a prediction of 3" more for today. Area schools are closed as a result. Already cleared the driveway once and will have to do it again before the day is over. Friday's weather forecast is for severely cold and dangerous temperatures below zero with wind chills between -20F and -40F. That will probably close schools too.

After a bunch of near misses, Winter is definitely here in Toronto. The Saturday forecast of a few flurries missed the mark. Saturday overnight got cold and unexpectedly dumped a ft. of snow.The forecast for Mon - Tue was accurate with temps of -30C and 2ft. - 3 ft. of snow
