Tis a bit of a see-saw.^&grin -- AlDon't worry, I'm sure the O's will come back and tie the game up, only to see the Royals take the lead again and they'll trail by a run once again........
This isn't much fun at the moment. In two games, the O's starting pitchers have failed to get out of the 5th inning, and in 2 games the O's bullpen has failed it's mission at the worst possible moments. Both areas were strong points all season, but these playoffs are a horse of a different color. What can Buck do? He's putting his best people in and they are failing to do the job. Allowing 14 runs in 19 innings just isn't good enough. The O's are really putting themselves behind the 8-ball and winning 2 on the road in KC is suddenly a must and a very tough order. Yikes. -- Al
Absolutely Al; AND, they're a young team too, built through the farm system, no big name free agents, so that's even more impressive.
I wish the Red Sox would do this, but the problem is the fans here are too impatient and won't let them go in the tank for a few years to let the young kids develop.......................
Another close game tonight but it seems that the SF pitcher Strickland has an unfortunate tendency towards gopher balls. He's been in 4 games this post-season, pitched 4.1 innings and given up 4 Hr's. Not a good ratio. I don't see how the Giants can afford to use him again. -- Al
Game 3 has started well for SF. 4-0 after 1 is nothing to sneeze at.:wink2: -- Al
Boy, Jason, truer words... {sm2} -- AlI am hoping they hang on. The Cardinlas are dangerous from the 7th inning on.
Not dangerous enough, eh? Cards self destructed and the Giants are in the driver's seat. Up 2-1 looks pretty good. That wind was really blowing around today. Thought for a minute they were playing at the Stick.^&grin -- AlI am hoping they hang on. The Cardinlas are dangerous from the 7th inning on.
