Got mixed up as Kershaw will be going against the Mets tomorrow. Cards have to pull one out of their butts now. -- Al

Well, Harvey hasn't been sharp but it hasn't mattered as the Mets have pounded Dodger pitching. 10-3 after 4 has me thinking this one is over already with the Dodgers last hope pinned on Kershaw with short rest. -- Al

It's only the 5th inning, still early, even with a 7 run lead.

Cespedes has been in the middle of everything.

Grandy has had a couple of nicely placed doubles. This is a slaughter. Wonder if Colon will finish? -- Al

No, Reed in the 8th and maybe Familia in the 9th.

Runs will be at a premium tomorrow.

The Dodgers have been an atrocious playoff team since the 1980s. Imagine having two of the best pitchers in baseball and not being able to win a best three out of five series. When Kershaw or Grienke pitch they can't score runs. When they score runs they have some stiff on the mound who gets shelled. With that said, LA just needs one in NY and they have a shot to finish this off in LA. If you are going to lose game 3 better to lose big since most teams bounce back from a blowout. And if they do we get to see Larry "the crypt master" King again behind home plate.

Cards jump out on top 2-zip, then Lackey implodes and it's now 4-2.

Never liked the going on three days rest concept, always seems to become a dumpster fire.

Looks like Maddon and the Cubs will advance.

Awesome.

With Kershaw on 1st, the play should have been to first because Kershaw is not a base runner whereas Hernandez is. Tim McCarver used to make this point all the time. As things have developed, that's what they should have done.

Ugly inning. Mets have to get to work on Kershaw and not let him get into one of his grooves. -- Al

Is Colon on the Chris Farley workout program? He looks like Lou Costello. Kershaw better finish as the Dodger bats are going cold again.

Colon may look like Everyman but he knows how to pitch and will help someone else next year as there won't be any room for him on the Mets next year.

I enjoyed following Colon this year. He gave yeoman service on a staff of young pitchers. It was following him that got me hooked on the rest of the staff. I like watching him work and his control is remarkable. -- Al
