Colon may look like Everyman but he knows how to pitch and will help someone else next year as there won't be any room for him on the Mets next year.

He looks like everyman alright; everyman combined in the stadium.

I can see why by looking at him why there won't be any "room" for him on the Mets; he's a planet and he should have his own zip code.

He pitched two innings so maybe he can pitch one or two on Thursday, if needed. I trust him more than the other relievers.

How many times do you see a team explode for tons of runs one night just to be shut down the next night? A lot. Kershaw just too good tonight. Now it's winner take all in Game 5. Should be a classic with the pitching match-up. I am unsure which way it will go. I would have bet money that the Mets would have beat Kershaw tonight, now the series is a toss-up. -- Al

That doesn't really follow in this case because the Dodgers pitcher last night wasn't very good and I did note last night that runs today would be at a premium. Steven pitched well but had one bad inning and that was that.

The Mets have their best going on Thursday who was one of the best in the NL until he ran into a small rut in September. After he was passed over in late September he came back fresh so I feel pretty good about Thursday as should the Dodgers because they have their best going.

Teams that win the first game or go ahead 2-1 tend to win more often so I like their chances.

One teams ace on three days rest came up big tonight, the other flamed out, so one goes on, one goes home.

Should be a great game five with the Cubs licking their chops waiting to see who they play in the NLCS.

Tomorrow and Thursday will be fun with three game fives.........................

3 of the 4 series are going to game 5's. I am thinking that it will be the Cubs/Mets in the NLCS and Toronto/Houston in the ALCS.

Come what may on Thursday, it's been a great season, a fun season, a season that invigorated the fan base. No complaints whatsoever.

It's been a good series. With pitching like the Mets and Dodgers have the margin between winning and losing is very slim. One small advantage the east coast teams have when they go west is they play these games at odd times for the fans. A 5PM start on a weekday in LA means it will be the third or fourth inning before the place is full. The home team loses that jump start at the beginning of the game when the fans are usually roaring. Instead it's like an empty barn. It's why the east coasters always claim the LA fans are late arriving. They are all stuck in traffic.

I hope the Mets win it for Will; as a matter of fact, make that their battle cry going forward..............."WIN IT FOR WILL FROM QUEENS!!!"..........If not, he might cawl back and start crying again.

"Mike, my sister CAWLED me"......"Yeah Will, it went viral"...."Mike, I l know nothing about the internet".....Good God that accent; say what you want about a Boston accent, but we've got nothing on that New York accent..........

This discussion of Colon reminds me of journeyman pitcher Terry Forster. And Al "The Big Round Guy" Holland, who pitched for the Phillies in the abysmal late 80s.

Prost!

At least we can understand people when they talk down here. When I hear a Boston accent, I have to go to Google Translate {eek3}

What does one have to do with the other?

I can understand people from Boston just fine too, not sure what the point is.

Also, didn't you live in Spain or South America when you were younger?

Color me confused..............

JMO, but all you all north of the Mason-Dixon sound a might peculiar.:wink2:^&grin -- Al

Sorry, but the Yankees aren't in the playoffs any longer.

Good luck tomorrow Brad; game 5's, especially on the road, are gut wrenching, but just sit back and enjoy the ride, you're where a lot of other fans wish they were.................

Thanks George, Yes, it should be great. All hands on deck, etc. Teams are even. Even Kershaw said that he thought the pitching matchup was even. The Cubs got to be loving this, watching these teams shred their pitching.

This is just starting to get publicity but after game 1, a Mets fan was beaten up by some whacko and her son; the police are looking for them. What the heck is going on in California with these fans getting out of hand. People are getting too wrapped up on this.

Brad:

We are with you and echoing George's sentiment, enjoy the intensity of Game 5.
