Baseball 2015 (5 Viewers)

Baseball is funny, George. Almost from the start, watching the Nats underpreform, I was worried about the Mets because of their pitching. Even before getting Cespedes, they hung around because of the pitching. When the Mets offense took off, I knew it was over even though I kept up hope. The Mets simply have the best starting pitching in the majors and with the offense clicking they are very difficult to beat. Even if you beat one of the starters, you still have 4 more waiting for you. I don't see how either KC or Toronto can hang with them. -- Al

Agreed; it all came together for the Mets at the right time, like the Giants the past several years, the Cardinals in 2006 and the Red Sox in 2013..............a team gets hot at the right time and that's that.

I'm with you, neither AL team has a shot vs them, it is what it is.
 
You guys are acting like this game is over. This is far from being over. This is the kind of talk you have after you move on, which hasn't happened yet.

You would have fit right in as a pre 2004 Red Sox fan......................if the Cubs by some miracle pull this game off and the Mets melt down without Cespedes and go on to lose the series, don't blame me.........:tongue:

Jesus Christ! :mad: This is starting to remind me of game 4 of the 1988 NLCS when they couldn't score from 3rd with no outs.

However, I have worn the same Mets sweatshirt for all the post season games this year.

Yeah, come on Eeyore, you can finally admit that it's over now......................Murphy is going to look good in pinstripes for the other New York team next year.

Him and Price will get dump trucks full of money thrown at them by the MFY's, because that's what they do.

Maybe so, but I'm not sold on Price. He is one of the best during the regular season, but he just hasn't come through in post-season. Now Murphy, on the other hand, has been unbelievable and should be able to parlay this post-season into BIG dollars. Maybe the Mets will change their minds and make him part of their future plans. -- Al
 
Congratulations to your Mets, Brad. Clearly they are the class of MLB this season and that pitching could mean for several more seasons, as well. At any rate, I'm glad to see it for you. Now for the WS. ^&grin -- Al
 
Thanks Al. It's hard to believe this happened in 2015. I thought they had a chance to make the playoffs but nothing like this.

As far as Murphy's future, I'm sure this will be debated after the WS and that is the time to discuss about it.
