OR, you could be that MORON who sits behind home plate for every playoff game in the Marlins orange shirt and visor; what a stooge.

Come to find out, he's a lawyer from Florida who has 47 employees and he travels 300 days a year to sporting events by himself.

I can think of 27,458 more things I'd do with my money before I did that...................

Congrats to KC, they earned it. When you get a runner to 3rd and 0 out, you should be able to score. Toronto couldn't. I'm a little surprised KC held Toronto in check. On to the WS! -- Al

After KC was up 3-1 I almost turned it off, assuming the 'pen would slam the door on Toronto. Credit to them for fighting back and making it interesting.

Should be a good series. Sorry, Brad, I have a policy of NEVER cheering for a team from New York :) Go Royals!

Great minds think alike (well, you're a great mind, I'm just a clambrain); I did shut it off, came back to it in the top of the ninth with the Royals with cheese up 4-3, runner on first, no outs.

What an epic failure not to at least tie it up.

Congrats to the Royals with cheese, it's on to the World Series.

I think they have a line up built to attack the outstanding Mets pitching; the bridge from the starters to the closer is not very stable, they need to take advantage of that.

They need to keep Murphy in check, good luck with that, he's on an Ortiz like roll at the moment...............

That's ok Pete. We were underdogs against the best the National League had to offer and I'm sure they will be underdogs against the Royals. NLDS, check. National League Pennant, check.

Royals will face the best starting pitching (and closer) they've seen all year or that Baseball has seen since the Atlanta Braves of the 90s. Good luck with that.

Let's Go Mets!

Did anyone else notice that sometime before the Jays tied it up Fox had one of those little promo icons in the corner of the screen with the info for Game 1 of the World Series? At first glance I assumed it would say 'Mets vs. Royals/Blue Jays' but in looking closer it simply had 'Mets vs Royals.' Apparently their graphic guy had faith in the Royals 'pen as well!

I haven't seen a Royals game since George Brett played. A streak that will likely continue but good luck Brad. I've always had a soft spot for the Mets having to play in the same city as the evil Yankees.

I saw that too. Got a chuckle out of it. -- Al

Not sure I'd be referencing the Braves, they of the three blown WS/only one WS win with that loaded staff...............:wink2:

The Royals are the underdogs in this series, hate to break it to you; they are playing with house money at this point, down 6-2 to the Astros in the 8th inning of game 4 of the ALDS, it was basically over at that point for them, but they stormed back.

They were underdogs to the Blue Jays too, another team that lived and died by the home run/relied on outscoring the other guy 10-8/team that they are.

They aren't the can't get over the hump Pirates, choking dog Dodgers or the softball beer league masher Cubs, they are a team built to play in the NL; great defense, they can both hit the long ball and manufacture runs (scoring the winning run from first last night is a prime example) and they have a lights out bullpen.

It's going to be a great WS, I'm looking forward to it for sure................Murphy had better stay hot, hopefully Cespedes is good to go, being pulled from an elimination game is not a good sign.

I'm looking forward to the 4,689 shots from Guido's Bar and Grille already.............:rolleyes2:

Good luck, you'll need it.

I don't see how you can say the Royals are the underdogs. Except for starting pitching they are a better team than the Mets and they've been through this before. They are the best team in the AL and I think the Mets are the best team in the NL. The best are playing the best and that's how it should be. I can tell you one thing. If the Royals are down by 4 runs to the Mets, they ain't coming back. Collins will ride Familia all the way.

God, I hope I don't see any more shots from McFaddens. God, who cares.

It's not me saying it, I've been listening to the talking heads on tv and radio and reading on line, some are saying the Royals are the underdogs.

The consensus down the stretch was the Jays were the best team in the AL, they came close to gaining HFA over the Royals towards the end of the season, they had a highly touted offense and made some great trades to load up for a WS run.

We'll see how it plays out, that's why they play the games.

Down the stretch the Royals didn't play great but honestly they didn't have much to play for.

Congrats to the Royals fans and the Mets fans (obviously including you, Brad). My wife is a Mets fan, and if the Mets win, I won't hear the end of it until the Yankees win another title:rolleyes2:, so I will be pulling for the Royals:wink2:.

Not an auspicious beginning and Harvey doesn't look as sharp as last time against the Cubs.

several walks already...

doesn't seem to have as good a control as what I have seen him have in the playoffs...

but I don't watch them enough to have a solid opinion...

maybe too much rest...

Harvey has settled in. KC is going to regret not getting him early on. -- Al
